The Help Jerry Campaign- helping a 77 year old homeless person on wheels
The Help Jerry Campaign is all about helping turn a persons life around. It’s about survival! To help homeless people, we do this one person at a time. Jerry is 77 years old and things are not going well. His 1996 van is falling apart. If he loses his vehicle, he will be living on the street. It’s a very hard life for someone his age and with his medical conditions, he won’t survive. Let’s help Jerry! Let’s help him survive!

Tax De Duc Ta Bull is a song about Tax Deductible organization’s corruption

The song Tax De Duc Ta Bull is about my frustration with tax deductible organizations, and the rich people who throw money at them even when they do effectively nothing. I simply dislike the tax code that takes tax payers money and rewards too m...

Child of God - a song for the homeless -written by Paul Barrett

A life of homelessness is usually associated with feeling down and depressed. Living homeless can also leave a person overwhelmed by a sense of hopelessness. And in our darkest hours and moments, we need to reflect ...

    INFO FOR STUFF TO GIVE THE HOMELESS Rice is cheap, you can buy it in huge bags and cheap in the international sidles of grocery stores and it's a great carb! Also When getting things for the homeless .....ALWAYS get large, 1 X, 2X, 3X, 4X in clothes sizes as they are very hard to get and also homeless people LAYER. There's tons of clothes that are small and medium. When you go in clothes stores, the first to go and then all that's left is the small and extra small. Same with shoes! Get the LARGEST size in footwear you can! Also get MITTS, ADULT MITTS, you'll notice that snowmobile riders ALWAYS WEAR MITTS NOT GLOVES!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warm thick socks, boxer short underwear and adult MITTENS are a hundred times warmer than gloves.

I’m not homeless now. I’m houseless by choice. I did it all on my own. No begging. I ate at churches and the Salvation Army when needed. I’m saving money now not paying high rents or mortgage. I only give to the catholic charities or the Salvation Army. They verify the stories being told. The homeless and nomadic culture is a bunch of con artist and beggars. The Catholic Church makes you prove your needs. I’ve lived with the beggars and nomadic tribes. Thieves. I’m solo out here because I don’t trust anyone. When they all go to quartzite az for the winter my dogs and I go to the snow. I did it on my own. The homeless can also. In a few months I’ll take my social security and union pension. I have been in the social service business, in one way or another, for over 30 years. I can honestly say that in my experiences, about 95% of homeless people are there by choice, not wanting to work or follow shelter rules, drugs or alcohol or mental health issues. VERY rarely is someone only homeless because they truly want to work and can't find a job. For those who can't afford it, stop drinking, smoking and doing drugs. This is a mental health and substance abuse issue. The issues of mental health and substance abuse need to be addressed, then the homeless issue would, by a large margin, not be an issue.

    Being homeless destroys a person’s whole being. It destroys health, the body, mind and spirit. American needs to wake up to this travesty. The homeless need shelter. I have built tiny homes, converted vans, SUVs, and converted cargo trailers. I’m in the process of building prototypes of various shelters that are affordable and can be used by homeless people. What I found is there’s a lot of resistant and hurdles to anyone trying to help the homeless. Here is a crazy idea! Why don't we instead of sending $200B to Ukraine spend here in America on eradicating homelessness in our own country?

    • @Homelessinamericainc
      @Homelessinamericainc 9 месяцев назад

      Interesting concept. It’s true that American has been involved all over the map by providing money and resources to other countries. And many counties still dislike us. Regarding Ukraine, most of the resources we have given them are military items including artillery, Abrams, etc. We are also sending obsolete equipment that our military was going to scrap. Not sure having military weapons in the hands of the homeless would be a good idea, but maybe it would. You are correct in that more money could help resolve the homeless crisis. But if you watch the video, “The Homeless Industrial Complex” you would see that massive amounts of money is being spent on the homeless situation, but the money never reaches the homeless. Big business, nonprofits, and the government simply waste most of it. Mismanagement, corruption, greed, lying incompetent politicians, are some of the issues that are propagating the homeless crisis. Thank you for your response. Hope the war in Ukraine is resolved. It’s a financial drain and a horrific cost in human life.

      Like it or not, America has a responsibility in the world. They have created it themselves ever since the end of WW2. Helping it's allies is a must. That being said, 10% of the 700 Billion dollars in the military budget per year could solve homelessness. Image $70 billion. Could build and fund a lot of homes.

    • @metubepick2008
      @metubepick2008 9 месяцев назад

      @timothyletwin5911 your argument is flawed. Beside baseless claimes that they brought it unto themselves, you can't win this war in Ukraine when the other party has nuclear weapons. Secondly, did you see the level of corruption in Ukraine? And finally, prolonging this conflict by funding the most corrupt country in Europe will only bring more deaths to the Ukrainian people. Most wars end up at negotiation table. Time to end this bloody conflict and focus our money on internal problems. We have $34 trillion to deal with, before this mounting national debt crushes our economy.
