Welcome! We are a family building our forever property. This property is 14 acres with a 40x80 ft Quonset hut. Join in and watch us as we clean up, renovate, and build our LEGACY!
Electrical installation @ Quonset hut for the New (Used ) RV!!
We are running underground power for an RV hookup at the Quonset hut! We bought a used RV for pop to live in temporarily.
There is no electrical, water, or sewer hookup for an RV at the Quonset hut property. In this video we are going to install an electrical hook up so the RV can be inhabitable!!

(Tropical storm preperation!) We’re taking the shed to high ground and installing drainage pipes!
Просмотров 5219 дней назад
Flooding rains are expected along the Texas coast this week. We’re doing our storm prep, moving the shed and installing drain pipes! The last major rain event we had left us with over 6 inches of rain inside the shed. The floor of the shed is a foot off the ground so we had about 18” of ground water runoff where the shed is currently sitting. We have got to move it to higher ground and get a pa...
Flooding rain across Texas! (Drainage work and moving standing water)

Mud, muck, and standing water is slowing down our progress. We can’t get anything done when we have a swamp to work in! We’re going to work on the drainage, get some water flowing out to the bay and off the property. #diy #investment #renovation #dirtwork #engineering #followalong #drainagesystem #flooding #flood #drainage #skidsteer #ditch #water #rain #water-flow
30 year old well froze, the pump hasn’t worked for 3 months [Will the pump be welded to the casing?]

Well pump removal and reinstall, pluming repairs, and dirt work. The pressure tank is a fault for ruining our well pump! Texas has had a bad freeze every year for the last 3 years. The short freeze in 2024 is what cost us over $2500. The pressure tank, although “inside” the building, froze this January. When the pressure tank froze and the water inside the house was used. That told the pressure...
The renovation of our Quonset Hut! [Total remodel]

The Quonset hut renovation starts here! It’s a total gut and rebuild. This is the renovation journey of a working family building a legacy one day at a time. We bought this property from a gentleman that goes to our church. We spent well over a year ironing out the details, settling trusts, dealing with lawyers, and finally closing 1 year and 1 month from the day negotiations started. It has be...
Suzuki DF 140 overheat issue (The sensor fix!)
Просмотров 82 тыс.7 лет назад
Suzuki DF 140 overheating issues solved! After hours and hours of troubleshooting we finally found the culprit. Hope this helps one of you fix your problem!!
I think it's excellent information. As for anyone wanting to attempt a similar project, this can be helpful to anticipate some potential issues that they may face.
Wow! What a find!
It was! We’re so excited to build our legacy here!
Cute boys❤😊
Duly noted
Don't believe that gauge, they are always wrong. The pressure relief valve you have at the well is set to release at 75 psi. So if you did get to 80 psi it would be spraying.
@drob5664 Thank you for that info! I did turn the pressure switch down a bit. It’s now kicking on at 45 and off at 65 and we still have plenty of pressure.
Get a thermal gun. They're ten bucks.
Great Information!! Thanks so much for diagnosing this!! (You guys are LIFESAVERS!!)
Im new to the boat stuff. How do u know when the motor is overheating?
Hi, I have a problem on my Suzuki 140. Only the buzzer activates without the flashing light.... what does it mean? A thousand thanks
Thank you
Got a 2020 df140 with 56 hours that has the same issue. Fixing to check this out soon
Giddy-up! Thanks fellas.
I don't even have this problem yet but I appreciate you sharing so people like myself can have a heads up. That saves us a ton of time and money. You guys rock!
Thanks for sharing..
Wats the name of the se sir and parts number pls
What sensor is that?
How did you change the oil cooler? I just saw on mine that the o ring is damaged and I need to replace it. Could you talk about taking the oil cooler off?
Just got done fixing this exact issue and this video was super helpful, thank you!
Shouldnt you get a check engine light if this sensor goes bad?
My suzuki 140 is leaking oil like the exxon valdez
Sounds like all those things needed to be done anyways
I need help please I have a problem with the engine 115 df Suzuki overheating and ringing and stop
I am having a similar issue with my df60. Check engine light is also blinking….I’ve tried it all
I have a brand new motor with less than 200 hrs and it’s overheating. Thanks for sharing I’ll take a look to that sensor.
Hello. How did you check the block if it full of salt?
Hi I am getting my fuel in my oil . Level rising. And thermostat stuck open. Any one has these issues ?
I love these engines, i have two Johnson 140 but they are Suzuki engines with Johnson cowling. With a book they are easy to diagnose
Ill get a suzuki next but ill stay far away from the 140cc engine
This is the same issue I had with my DF140 will try this fix tomorrow. Thanks Jim Daniels
Any idea what would do this ruclips.net/user/shorts8l59FloQNOI?feature=share
Lol same thing happened to a friend of mine with his car ac replaced everything and it turned out to be a sensor.
does this sensor just screw out? would love to have seen it out?
Trevor..YOU DA MAN ..keep posting.
thermostat will stay open when it stops working because it is a fail safe thermostat .. you can tell it is open by feeling the prop hub discharge it be warm and never gets cold and hot to indicating opening and closing . . most mechanics dont even know about a oil cooler behind the oil filter because it is not in the service book. I replaced my engine because I was getting oil in water with 600hrs on it . I wonder if it was oil cooler. the sensor can be cleaned as I have and tested per service book .
Its the same in cars these days. Its almost always a sensor. I dont trust them.
thanks
After going through all that frustration do you still rate the suzuki engine over the yamaha ,i thinking to purchase a suzuki 150 soon but am indecisive
This is early version suzuki but chain on fly wheel and sometimes the warranty goes to 6years as an incentive or rebates sells this engine . .I liked my 2002 much better than my 2013 suzuki as it had some small issues .
Hi from The Netherlands, Lucky that your sensor reported an overheating problem! Me and my two of my friends (all three boats mounted with a DF140) suffered the same issue (in a 2 years period): all three engins had a crack in the cylinder head, likely caused by overheating. All three of us got no sign of overheating at all, no alarm set off. It was noticed due to the engin starting up running on three cylinders. Scary: the enigine numbers of 2 of the engins differ only 1 digit! Suzuki Europe denies any responsibility. Anyone out there with the same problem?
Hi, what is the engine year?
@@mariagraziafornasin8111 2008
I have df 60 overheating light when idling for a short time .Just started doing this only at idle.I bet the same sensor is bad on mine. Water is pumping fine and is coming out warm. Thanks ! I will change my sensor first.
Did you clean your anodes?
If you keep it turned off it won't run hot.🤔
For those wondering, this is the exhaust manifold temp sensor.
Should have put temp gun on tell tail
How to know how many hour the engine running if they use analoq tachometer
turn the ignition on and rpm will move if it goes to 3 it means 300 hrs and if it goes to 3 twice means 3000 .. no need to have the engine running
Is there a name for that particular sensor?
i got a 2015 and ive battled a random over heat the whole time at 5,000 rpm i got just over 200 hours now and if i keep it 4900 or only run it for a short 3-10 sec it normally wont shut down and go it safe mode. but when it does i normal just turn it off for like 5 secs and it runs like new. Dealers have always BS the problem.
Hi what's the name of the sensor i have the same problem
nice to know
Thanks for sharing, I haven't changed the sensor yet on my df140, but I will let you guys know soon if the issue goes away :)
Thank you for sharing. Check the easy parts first then harder one's always.
