RC10Talk.com was started back in 2006 as a place for vintage R/C enthusiasts to gather. 15+ years later it's still going strong. I don't know exactly how this RUclips channel will be used right now. Just getting it started and we'll see where it goes.

I started building this car a few years ago to race at a Vintage Off-Road Nationals event. 2024 was its year. Just a few days ago. Here is a little walk around of the car.
Another retired racer - WOIN style RC10

This was one of the two original WOIN style builds back in 2007-2008. I eventually raced at the inaugural Vintage Off-road Nationals at RCHR in Waterbury, CT in 2008. Has been on the shelf since then.

I ran this car locally for a little while in 2017-18, and then I raced it at the Vintage Off-road Nationals at R/C Excitement in MA in 2018. I've added a few pics at the end of it turning laps at Crispy Critters in NJ shortly after I got it up and running.

I have a double shot of RC10's for this video. I figured since they're basically the same theme, I should just do them together. Forum - www.rc10talk.com FB - RC10Talk www.jconcepts.net

Did any pro drivers race wit a RC10 B1.5 conversion?
The only one I know of that thought to make a buggy out of a T2 back then was Brad Reelfs. He ran it a couple of times, but then received his B2.
dang gear diff in this thing too sick. we only have carpet around here.
Thanks. I'm glad it fit together without too muck hackery. Ha
I couldn't stop looking at the body until you mentioned it has been made specifically for the B1.5. I'm filled with envy and hope they go to production! That looks like a pretty clean splice with the B4 trans, I'm part way into installing a B5 trans into mine! Thanks for the vid, Jason.
Thanks for watching. And good luck with your transmission swap.
As a teeneager, I wanted that T3 BAD! Had to make due with my T2.
The T2 is a good truck. A T2 won the stadium truck class at the Vintage Offroad Nationals in September.
This is why T2's are so rare? You chopped them all up :)
Only 8 or 10. Lol
when we actualy raced on dirt
Thankfully, I'm able to get to a few tracks "locally" that are more of a throwback to another time. No slicks or glued surfaces.
Nice looking cars, the first car I raced was the B3. I wish Associated would remake these instead of the RC10 for once!
I'm not sure how far down the rabbit hole AE plans to go with the re-issues. But I don't think a B2 is out of the question. It's 30th anniversary is 2025.
Love the paint schemes, would look good on my old gt ;) Nice looking rides though thanks for sharing!!!
That's were I got the scheme from, Richard Saxton's GT. I know his T3 was similar. I don't know what his buggy looked like. I reversed it on my buggy because I didn't like the way the stripes were laying out the other way.
Great video..
Ding-dang, nice buggy for sure right there. I haven't quite cracked the code for batteries in my shelfers. Again, nice and tidy example. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. And thanks for watching!
Beautiful… I remember the ads for these in RC Car Action magazines were off the charts
Thanks. Yeah, it was the car to have after Kinwald's IFMAR win in '93.
Rad! Love the battery labels!!! Simple og parts and "shelf worn" tub is ideal in my book.
Thanks. Yeah, the labels are great. I've used them on more than a few packs.
Havin trouble getting the green front springs for the shocks., I dont care about the color i just want them softer than the silver springs.. Nobodey builds these cars anymore.
looks great, who painted the body for this car?
Darkside Designs
killer paint! love the setup too
Thanks!
Im having trouble finding wheels and tires for my worlds car
Jconcepts or JC Racing Products in the UK should have what you need.
Love these videos man thank you.
Thanks, and thanks for watching!
The big tires and wheels will never look right on a vintage car. They need to make some modern tires in the appropriate size. 1.7R an 1.9F I think it was?
Those tires were gone in 1988 with the short arm rc10. This era of rc10 had a 2.1/2.0 or 2.1/2.175 wheels. Jconcepts does offer modern 1.9/1.7 wheels and tires though.
I just posted mine on Rc10talk a few weeks ago Built in early spring of 2000
Gorgeous car
Thanks!
Nice setup! Cool mix of vintage parts put together.
Thanks!
Nice !
Thanks!
I had the RC10 graphite, beautiful car
Thanks! My first rc10 was a graphite team car back in '92. Still have it. Not video ready at the moment though.
Did you have to flip the rear arms around at all?
Yeah, they have to be flipped since the shocks are now on the back.
Those losi rear hubs have pretty much the same geometry as the RPM wide arm set then?
The RPM Worlds hubs only have 1 hinge pin hole, which gives a lower ride height. The Losi hubs have 2 so you are able to raise it, also.
@@rc10talk pretty similar offset otherwise?
@@vivos71 Yeah, same offset.
Very nice bud
Thanks!
My first carpet track rc was a carbon chassis RC10 DS. That thing was a beast, I enjoyed racing it.
Surprisingly, even with all of the 80's-90's AE vehicles I've owned, I never had a DS. Always threatened to get one though. Ha
so cool !! please post more!!!
Thanks!
Super cool
Thanks!
Very cool stuff, thanks for showing it off! It is cool to see up close all the little tweaks and changes made to it!
Thanks! Yeah, it didn't need a whole lot. Just a little here and there to make it all work.
One could probably run Tamiya Astute wheels with that setup eh?
Not sure. I don't have any to try it either.
Thank you for uploading another video of another AE of yours. Very nice and a beautiful btw.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome chasis work!
Thanks!
I race my worlds car every Tuesday. I absolutely love the old RC10.
Congrats to the winner 🤙🏻
5:04 That blue car is tough as nails, had some other crashes and still ripped around like nothing happened
Looks really nice indeed. Thx for sharing it, along with the story behind this car
Thanks! And thanks for watching.
Nice ride. Loving the Paint on it too!
Thanks! RCCA did a review on the RC10 CE in the Dec. '90 issue (IIRC). The body was painted like this and I always liked it.
Very nice, looks really sharp 👌👌
Thanks!
Love your content. Building a rerelease just now while watching all of your cars ✌️
Thanks! Have fun with your build.
Man that looks awesome
Thanks!
Whats a b1.5?
If you go back through my older videos, I explain it in on that one. But it's basically converting an RC10T2 into a buggy.
Awesome builds! Do most of your buggies have the pro line wide body wheels on them or just this one? Really like the look on this build
Thanks. This is probably the only one with a full set of Proline widebody wheels. An earlier video of the Masami car with the green tub, the fronts are widebody. I had a bunch of new sets, but once Jconcepts came out with the 2.2 Mono wheels, I pretty much sold them all off.
Love those original RC10s! Can't have enough of them.
You can have enough, but you just ignore that and keep building them. Haha!
so it not a replica
Picky, picky..... 😄 Fine, it's a tribute.
I use to go to the Ranch in pomona CA.@@rc10talk
Keep them coming
I really like the copper anodizing, great color choice!
Thanks! I like it too. I'm sure at some point I'll have another chassis set done with it.
That not the same chassis
How's that?
I'm loving the videos. Its awesome to see cars from my era of racing. I still have a worlds car. I wish the tracks would go back to loam and get away from the hard pack. Offroad racing needs to have dirt flying!! Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for watching! The only places you are gonna find those kind of tracks anymore are in backyards unfortunately. Where I race locally it's hard packed, But you can at least see the tire tracks when you get out of the groove a little bit, unlike the sealed tracks.
Is that an MIP Transmission? What kind of differential does it have? I have one and it has no way to put a screw into the outdrive. One of the outdrives has 4-40 threads in it and the other has a hole that is too small for a 4-40 screw to fit through it. Is there a diff screw that will fit this differential?
The trans in this car is an RPM 2.65 stealth conversion. I'm guessing you have a MIP SP-1, maybe? If you go to our RC10Talk forum, in the "scan archives", there are a few MIP instruction sheets in there. If you have the Pro ball diff, the hole in the one outdrive is there to access the diff screw to adjust the diff. I don't remember them being 4-40 though.
Thanks for the info, I'll check on there, only one outdrive is threaded 4-40. I was thinking it was like the stealth and I was looking for the T-nut that goes in the outdrive on one side and a thrust bearing and screw on the other one.
