You can train them and do as much stretching and warms ups as you l ike.They will strain and tear regardless.
Why not just drive at 300km all the time because you are going to get into an accident anyway...
As a heavy consumer of RUclips functional fitness content can I give you a constructive criticism about talking too long at the beginning? Get straight to the calf raises in about 15 seconds. Talking for 3 minutes is torture. You want people to watch your video over and over again they want to listen to you talk for 4 minutes before you do anything? You can talk afterward or you can have videos where you just talk. But give people the option to start exercising right away. Having a 4-minute intro means it's a video just to watch once when you want it to be a video that people go back to again and again and again. If you want to be a video that people go back to again and again and again you got to get to the point right away.

Mixture of Osmo pocket and S5ii
Additional to high quality one leg calf raises I recommend high volume two leg calf raises, bodyweight only (e.g. 200 reps in total divided over several sets in different stances). You can expect a dramatically increase of tissue quality in the lower leg. Add workout for the Tibialis Muscle too and you'll get the best legs possible. Don't stretch before, between and after workout. One year of consistent training and you'll be running smooth like a cat. Provided your running technique is fine 😎👍

Ive always had doubts in training calves being that some of the best runners never trained them and say "running should naturally strengthen the areas that you need while running". It's hard to find a time to program them without it interfering with normal running activity.
Great disscussion point, thats something that always comes up. Whilst running does strengthen calves to a certain level its not a very effective way of improving tissue capacity as you can't progress the load in a targeted manner. I think doing 3 sets post running session 3x a week is a very time efficient way to get some calf work in without affecting your running too much
I wish mine would grow🤦🏼♂️ trying to grow them in the gym but they’re impossible :(
Hahhaha don't worry you're not the only one. I find strength and size don't really correlate with calves as a lot of how "large" your calves look is determined by how long your tibia. People with shorter tibia's usually look like they have more calf bulk
@@endorphintherapist yes that’s me, it’s just how my calf is built but it’s so annoying. Some guys don’t even train calf’s but because they’re small, they look huge :(

probably far too many years late, but the pedals you have.. I believe you can take off the flats if you just want them to be clipless on both sides.

Strap goes inwards so that if you do a flying mount, and pedaling with your foot on top of the shoe, the strap doesn't hit the crank or chain :)

some people have shoes attached and do a fly mount and spin bike with foot not in shoes for some time. Therefore the strap is looking inwards when closed, so it will not get jammed into chain when it's not closed by flapping on the side opposite the drivetrain

Do you have flat feet, normal arches, or high arches? I've got big old flat feet so it's usually difficult to find a wide shoe. Are these shoes wide, they have them in my local store on special?

Cages in the right size or good straps are much better compromise if you don‘t go for record times or races... I‘m no pro biker and hate bike shoes for walking but on my track bike i use mks xl cages with cinelli double leather straps + good fittin shoes(not to wide and bulki) thats work very well for me...
