The issue is. Not naming this guy is just going to let other guys have issues and potentally have the same crash as you. Youre not creating drama or crap. Youre simply stating what you found and who did the work. Its up to that guy to defend himself and explain it. I've had this too. I rode for Sparklight in 2016. Bike was terrible. He put me out in Rd1 with a motocross split link on the chain. To which complained. As i was on the front row. Luckily it snapped in the race and not on the line. Cracked the engine casing. Then i turn up at Rd2. See the bike had a welded engine casing. Running in 3rd and the exhaust fell off. Rd3. Big oil leak in testing on ths Bentley straight at Snett. To which he wiped down and tried to send me out. Thats when i walked. But hey. Thundersport offical support vendor eh! Guy is an absolute retard.

Mate no oil in the forks is "shocking" excuse the pun. Funny enough a "highly" regarding race bike shop put the forks in my r6 i brought. Was adjusting the preload and not getting much change. Took the caps off and both cartridges had completely unwound from the fork bottoms 🙈 unfortunately these people are out there building bikes mate. Glad to sew youve got most the bits sorted

Tommy ,what about as well of the QR CODE thing, set up a just giving page where you pay for your name on the bike , helmet , front or back where ever for different amounts. Horrible to see buddy but glad you're ok, shame about the state of the bike, but it can be repaired and no doubt you'll have it looking just as good in no time.

Snapped triple tree, insane bearing impressions on the race, hole in the frame. That frame is buggered. If the bearing races took enough force to snap the tube and impression the race, it definitely knocked the holes out of round and square. Find a rod or metal tube the same size as the inner diameter of the bearing races and slip it through. If it doesnt drop through easily then your headstock is not fixable.

I thought the damage would be about £10k!!! Is it a ‘24 bike? Have you figured out what caused the crash yet?

Have you switched from RST to a Dainese suit (model?)? How did the Dainese hold up in your crash?

Your better off buying another 24 blade race bike if funds allow & build this up when you more parts are available over the next year or so if funds allow

Unfortunately, this could happen to anyone on track at any level, once they dig in they're in lucks hands. I always seem to hold onto them if i low side and stop them flipping, but probably puts me at greater risk. Hope you get it sorted Tommy. Honestly, if the frame is straight, that hole could well be repaired. I'd speak to motorliner or similar?

For that kind of money, I would buy another bike and part that out. I bought a new BMW S1K for just a few thousand more than the price of your rebuild.

Unlucky Tommy. Suppose that's the issue now with the price of bikes, absolutely extortionate if you want the most competetive bike. Hope you manage to get everything sorted!

Not just better off getting a used road bike and swapping the parts over leaving you with a good spares package including engine?

Have you tried speaking with Dave from Obsession Engineering. He may have some used parts from Francos bike?
