In 70AD the Edomites AKA Romans invaded Israel and the Israelites went into west and central Africa to hide and blend in because of ancient hatred between Jacob and Esau . they lived there for centuries in a place called Negroland it’s on many pre 1740 maps with a Kingdom of Judah . This is where the Israelites got the name Negro and because they were Shemites . This is why the Zondervan Bible Dictionary emphasizes the difference between Negro and African .The Israelites began to dominate the society chiefs and elites resented them . When the European slave trade began these were mainly those sold in the Atlantic Slave Trade . Historically the slave market had signs advertising Negros for Sale not Africans . They Knew who they were selling and where they got them from

This young man is a agent I dont know who he's working for I can't tell you, but he's here to spread confusion. The African Kemites they were all black Africans who came to the Nile Valley over 10,000 years ago, and started agriculture the, the same Africans built the nation you call Egypt. In the Scriptures the nation was called Mizraim, and much later Kemet, there was no Multicultural existence in that land young man, you should be ashamed of yourself not doing your research. It was proven over eighty-five years ago that the ancient Egyptians were black Africans who built the pyramids and all of the great wonders of Kemet, all you had to do was read books by Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr Ivan van Sertima, Dr.Chekah Anti Diop, these men held Master degrees in anthropology, and Archeology, and biology. Dr Diop proved crude DNA evidence that the ancient Egyptians were African, this information has been around for at least 80 years. Where have you been man that's why I don't trust anyone who is still asking the question was ancient Egypt was black. It sounds so absurd to me now. Young man don't deliberately try to spread confusion because of your lack of knowledge, your trying to spread confusion about your own history, if you don't know don't teach you're young enough to do your research you have to put the hard work in you can't just teach the end results is what you're doing right now. quit letting people lead you around by your nose. And let me clear something up the word Egypt is a Greek word when the Africans came to that land there was no such word as Egypt. But when I do use the name Egypt it is to let you know the land in which I speak. The same with the word Africa, Africa is a Latin word imposed on that great continent by the Romans. The original name for Africa's is AKIBULAN and the name means Eden mother of humanity. And when I use the name Africa once again it's just to let you know the people in whom I speak. I have much more to say on this matter, but who's going to read this very long comment. Only those who are sincere and seeking knowledge. Knowledge is power for your life!!! SHALOM 🕎

We need to evolve this conversation. Arabs and Europeans took advantage of the tribalism that already existed in how we see and divide ourselves. The Africans understood the existing version of slavery for their time. They had no clue about what was going to happen to those they helped capture because chattel slavery was a purely American invention. It’s like when the baby flushes something valuable down the toilet. You’re mad and you may spank them for it but you know they had no idea that what they did was bad until you said something. How long do you continue to punish them for not knowing? And at what point do you say…that was then and this is now. We have to evolve. We need each other to elevate. Africans have access to resources and Black Americans understand the mindset of those who would oppress us. Our conversations have to shift to be about how we change the game together. Let’s not worry about what we can’t change and instead focus on what we can build together.

Hi, I have taught U.S. History, and I am from the Northeast, an area that vilified slavery and slave traders. The only people who went into Africa to capture slaves before the mid 1800's were some Portuguese. Not only did Europeans not know the land, they died like flies from Malaria. First, they had to discover a treatment and cure for Malaria, which helped Africans...Many Africans enslaved for life. When Africans took people, broke up families, took their lives' and sent them overseas, that was for life. And, they did not want slaves to come back...The Africans and Ethiopians had lifetime slavery...The first person to go to court in the Virginian British Colony, who sued for lifetime, chattle slavery, was a Black man, Anthony Johnson. The Anthony Johnson and John Casor case. And when two white men, farmers, tried to help the enslaved man gain rights, Anthony Johnson sued not just against the black man, but the white. They had to pay him damages...Africa has had lifetime slavery...Female genital mutilation is a form of slavery. It is for a lifetime. It kills and destroys many women...Slavery is alive and well in the world.

Hell YEAH ! They were the major practitioners selling their own people. These people who had a large tribe would go to other small tribes and sell their human cargo to the Arabs first. Then they sold us to the Europeans. Never did another country came and conquered the African, they sold us for meager commodity. I've read in a book that a tribal leader sold filthy of his people for an umbrella. So don't listen to this man when it comes to explaining the people who were put into slavery. Because if you noticed he's talking about people who don't even live in his country, but trying his best to deter you from those who in Africa sold us.

Did fellow Africans sell Africans in the slave trade? The answer is 100% yes they did. Africans actually captured other Africans and sold them into the slave trade. Where the Persian and European slave Traders would actually purchase Africans from other Africans in the Atlantic slave trade on the continent of Africa. The Persians and the European slave Traders never entered the interior of the continent to capture any slaves. Actual Africans would capture other Africans and bring them to the slave markets that where actually ran by African Kings and Queens.

It was a coping mechanism from the centuries of atrocities, violence, destruction and rape from the ARABS who have been invading all África since before Portugal, England or Spain even existed!!!! They would be enslaved and tortured, because the ARABS religious book is the only religious book that still aproves incentives and even legislates slavery. So the African leaders decides themselves to trade their own prisioners as slaves, protecting everybody else on the tribes against the moors!!!! This is common knowledge I've always knew this, you guys sleeping!? That is why they had that type or merchandise so normalized to them.

Alot of people buy into the "Africans sold other Africans" narrative but it's more complex than that. The portuguese were the first Europeans to start dealings on the continent. These trade agreements the portuguese had with different African states were very onesided they. Portuguese had FORTS AND TRADING POST SETUP IN THE INTERIOR and began to demand slave tributes from the African kingdoms! in many cases portuguese would ASSIST in the slave raids of rival african settlements. Europeans weren't just sitting back and having slaves delivered to them they were actively involved.

The starting point of the so called slave trade was the European Invasion of the Americas then their their mass murder of the natives then their demand for slave labour they set up the slave labour camps and built the human trafficking ships also encourage conflict between African peoples to get captives. Africans did not sell " their own" anymore than the ancient Greeks Romans Vikings Turks etc sold "their own" " fellow " Europeans. They did not identify as the same. Also just as many Africans opposed the " slave trade" as colluded with it which has been conveniently forgotten.
