This is so great! I have very little sewing experience, and even that was decades ago - but my first bowl cozy came out (almost) perfectly! I was especially pleased because the bowls were a non-standard size and the clear instructions and tips made it so easy to customize the cozies!

I may have missed it but you didn’t mention using only a 100% cotton fabric and thread and wrap and zap for the inside batting to avoid any fires in the microwave? Do you take those precautions? Great video loved your directions and some really good points I was happy to watch! I haven’t made them in a while but making one as a gift so needed a refresher. Great job ladies! 🙏🏼🤗

love your tutorial very easy to understand. also where did you purchase the donald duck fabric I would like to buy some.

There are some good instructions and hints in the video. I know you wanted to use that particular fabric, but it wasn’t the best choice for a directional print video since it is a MULTI-directional print that makes it difficult to see just what the correct direction actually is.

Rest oleum is really good about refunding your purchase if You have a problem with the pain, not coming out of the nozzle, such as yours in the video. I prefer rust oleum over any other brand, but just recently I had to use the mirror paint and it Just made puddles everywhere it didn’t spray. I thought it was going to be a big hassle to get my money back, and they were excellent about it, which makes me even a bigger fan. I just purchased the Krylon color morph and am incredibly Disappointed it didn’t cover half of my mini Chandelier because it was such a wide spray it Was difficult to get the 1/2 metal arms. I wish I would’ve seen this five days ago but thank you very much for posting it!

Hi. I just bought a cane of the Emerald turquoise as well. I plan on doing something special with it. (on my channel.) I had the same exact issue with the pink champagne. I was so sad that it wouldn't work after the first spray. I got a refund. I thank you so much for doing this comparison.

Thanks for the tips. I’ve done some bowl cozies but will make more with your techniques. I’ve sewn loops on one corner and hang them on side of my refrigerator for easy access instead of burying them in a drawer.

Most bowl cozies call for a 10” square. I think I missed why you started with a 12” square????

I am not saying you do this, but as a favor with any new videos, please dont sidetrack while teaching your tips and tricks as in sharing personal info. So many videos waste so much time with personal info. and afterall, we look up videos to learn and quickly do ourselves. So thk you so much!! LOVE the tutorial! Agree with earlier replies it is the clearest to learn from. Please clarify the seam allowance width that you calculated the tutorial lengths by. Also, any thoughts re using a serger for the inner portion of the French seams, and would that affect the calculations for seam allowance widths in the overall pattern? Thanks again!

Hello, can any black spray paint be used as a base coat? Does it matter if the black spray is flat or glossy? And does the black spray paint need to be by the same manufacturer as the color shifting top coat spray? Thank you!

I found your tutorial so much better than the others I’ve seen. Those videos did not address the issue of the different depths of bowls. They were just generic measurements. When I made my cozies they never fit properly. So I’m thankful for your video on this. I’ve broken many needles sewing over the darts. They were so bulky. How do I eliminate that bulk since it’s not on the edge ?
