We take our Lance 825 Truck Camper on an overnight stay in Great Basin National Park in a remote region of Nevada. The drive on I-70 alone was quite the adventure - we cut through the massive rock swell of the San Rafael Reef, and made a slight detour for a quick beverage at Fizz Drinks. And although our stay at the national park didn’t exactly go as planned, their campground was one of the prettiest places we’ve camped at so far, and we stumbled upon an incredible view of the park’s 13,000-foot W...

    I jumped into full time RV living after only ever experiencing camping while a tent, but I went about it in the reverse order that you guys did. I ordered my camper 3 months before I would eventually obtain my truck, which was a job in itself, I had a broker on the hunt as well and it took most of that 3 months to simply find it. The biggest difficulty (it was 05/22) in obtaining the truck was shortage of electronic modules in new trucks causing the rabid U.S. market for used trucks, essentially when a good truck came up it was snapped by the U.S. dealers at a premium price. It was probably the worst time to buy but it was best for my situation, and I could not be happier with the truck. 2017 Chevy High Country 3500HD diesel dually with a '22 Northern Lite 9-6 in the back.

      @@thewaywedidit I want to take my wife to Colorado. She has never been there. I love Fairplay & Steamboat Springs and all those places. Any suggestions?

      @@williamboweter714 that’s great! Honestly you can’t go wrong with anywhere in Colorado ☺️ it just depends on what section you want to see. The western slope has fun mountain towns like Frisco, Vail, and Breckinridge. The front range has Rocky Mountain National Park and Mt Blue Sky. The southwest corner has Telluride, Durango, Mesa Verde Nat’l Park, and the Million Dollar Highway. Colorado Springs has Pikes Peak. All extremely beautiful! When you decide on what section let us know and we can recommend more!

      @@thewaywedidit As your handle states, "TheWayWeDidIt," as current residents of The Intolerant Liberal State of Colorado, your menu items certainly "did it" against the prevailing progressive protocol of dietary dictates. Several decades ago, I lived in Denver twice and Colorado Springs once, both times working production in television newsrooms, prior to digital video. Trust me, even during those dinosaur days, I know what consumers of meat, BBQ & Coke went through and still go through!😱...I say keep on defying them! Best wishes in your future travels and since you replied to my post, I'll subscribe & recommend your channel.🙏(...oh shite! am I allowed to post a prayer hands emoji in Boulder? uh-oh😬)

    Great job taking the time to go to the North Unit, I find it to be more scenic than the South Unit. Maybe that’s because it stays a little greener or I’m biased.

    • @thewaywedidit
      @thewaywedidit Месяц назад

      We agree! The North Unit was definitely more rugged and the views of the river were amazing!

      Yes Cattleman’s bridge. If you zoom into the map there’s a dirt road on the west side of Oxbow Bend that ends at the sandy beach where we entered the water. Have fun!!

    Curious what type of fuel your pickup is and what the fuel mileage is with the truck camper on your pickup

    • @thewaywedidit
      @thewaywedidit 2 месяца назад

      Our truck uses gas, and gets around 10-11 mpg with the camper on.
