I live in Maine a lot of the rot is similar on mine I have four 800s trying to learn on one and hopefully restore the scoutv great videos
You have the best instructional videos are you planning on continuing the scout build videos?
The Scout is pretty much done, I have a few small things I want to do to it but I daily drive it from time to time. Wish I had videoed more of it but I was just starting out.
Very clever on the trailer fender
Awesome Job !
Thank you
So I'm not sure what's different about my 2007 Chevy new body style. The transmission pan came off rather easily after I removed the shift bracket. There were only two torx screws on top of the bracket, so it was pretty easy. I did not have a clearance issue relating to the exhaust while removing the pan.
@@user-qo8fm3ut3v That's awesome, I don't know if they changed the exhaust clearance or what is different.
Looks great. I have a 55 Olds that needs a front seat done. You take on extra work?
Not really no.
Doing an awesome job !
Looking Good! Nice work!
Car is looking good
Awesome ! Love the content . Looking forward to next video .
thanks for demonstrating this approach.
Why get rid of computer?
I did not want to fool with all the wiring of the computer of the Blazer
What's the length from front axle to back ?
From center of front axle to center of rear axle is about 100 in
Wander of the 2002 ZR2 ext cab pick up is same distance?
@@edwardseaton9447 No. it is 123 in
@@PrattsWorkshop maybe I'll stretch the body....ideas thanks 👍
I am about to do the exact chassis swap. Do you have a pic or video of where the new body mount location is. Any info will help. Thank you.
I cut the body mounts off of the Blazer chassis, and made my own new ones at the original locations for the scout
That's so cool! That car just wants to be on the road again. Love the videos!
Did it fix it in long term, cheers
It did fix the code.
Looking good ! I wish I'd thought of the rubber channel gasket stuff when doing my seat, Looking forward to next video .
I got one for $40 for my 2010 SS
Awesome ! Can't wait .

Very nice sir
Looking good! Getting cleaner looking all the time!
Looking really good.
Great job ! We won't tell the Maytag man . 🤣 Just a few ideas . I used grey pool table felt and glued it to recycled formica to make my door panels . Which is a lot more sturdier than the old cardboard ones I learned how to restore the wood grain look from another youtube channel . I redone my dash and the door caps . I recovered my seats with grey Israeli wool military surplus blankets . I think I'll have someone else do the headliner. Looking forward to watching more on your rebuild .
I think the marvel mystery oil is a great idea I would pour it in and let it soak you properly have stuck rings
Good idea !
Forget about Marvel mystery oil. You need to take some good Dexron ATF and mix it 50/50 with acetone. It is the worlds best penetrating oil. Works a treat for freeing up rusted locked up engines even.
Trickle some marvel mystery oil slowly down the carburetor while it's running, But pull it outside of the garage first 🤣.Put some in the fuel tank and crankcase also .
I have a 1952 Cambridge sedan. Love it. Would not mind a 2 barrel swap. And a 4 speed swap.
I’d keep running in a while the valve might loosen up
That's what I am hoping for. Get the seats back in it so I can drive it better.
Awesome !
How did it go ?
My 2004 Tahoe just messed up the other day. My tahoe issue was the the brake safety coil mechanism. It was under the dash to the right of the shift cable connection. This guy's video pointed it out. I just disconnect the POS mechanism! It seems to me that it was made to fail. I put some electrical tape over the plastic plug so it will not have a short circuit...
Now this is what they call the master cylinder below the floor lower than the wheel cylinders this is why you used to have to pump the brakes to get the fluid up to the wheel cylinder. Probably the most main problem with old Master cylinders that used to leak.
Looking forward to your next video . Those one wheel cylinder per break shoe are an odd thing but easy to work on . at least companies still sell about every part for these old cars . I'd like to hop my 230 L head a little bit . Put the split header duel exhaust , Edgy head . cam , Two one barrel intake .
Looking good
Awesome job !
Awesome ! looking forward to this build . I've been working on a 50 Dodge Coronet . Where do you purchase your parts from ?
I have been doing a bunch of Google searches, just trying to find the best price, which isn't always the best but poor people have poor ways. Lol eBay has been a good place so far.
I see cheap ones for less than $40 on Amazon now. Trying to decide between that or a full tuner. I just bought my used Tahoe and it is close to 200k so I wanna make it live as long as possible. I just don't know about trusting the $40 thing.
The one in this video is still working great.
@@PrattsWorkshop Thanks for the info! I'm sure AFM/DOD has gotten better but mine is the first year with it and it's more aggravating then the couple dollars saved on gas in 500 miles are worth lol.
whats the inlet and outlet from heater core?
Glad i found your channel....i have aquired with a property a Kubota BX2200....with the optional front loader bucket...one of the front f hyd.lines is leaking ...the one that feeds the bucket tilt hyd.cylinder...luckily theres one in a pkg.laying in the bucket....
Seems like there is a new leak of some kind every spring. Sooner or later I will have change all the hoses and fittings, just in time for them to start leaking again. lol
@@PrattsWorkshop yes for sure....the one i have to replace is the sleeved hose on the loader arm hyd .cylinder under the Kubota sign/decal.
I had to replace both of those hoses on mine last week. Those are very easy to do, my fittings were very tight.@@gregoryj.m.8985
Good video
Are you still using the samw device any issues?
Still using it. No problems at all.
Can these universal joints be relaced? 6mm pin btw
Where did you get the power steering motor from?
ordered it from ebay, it's from a a Chevy Equinox. I think one from a Toyota Prius is simpler to work with.
Thanks!
What’s the square right next to the Silverado badge on the side?
Gm badge
big thanks dude ! awesome . was the same problem . good part #
She's coming along. Keep up the great work.
It’s looking really good.
You won't be sorry it does run like a new one once you get it up and going again I'm happy to see it in good hands
