Holy Cow! DIY arts, crafts, and laughs.
Your attention span is too short for this video
nevermind, the time-stamp is under 15 mins, you should be good.
--
Or maybe instead of criticizing attention spans and accusing viewers of brain rot, creators should focus on making videos that are actually worth watching.
--
Or maybe forget this whole internet thing and creator and viewer alike should go out and have meaningful experiences in the world instead of in front of a screen.
--
This was kinda a filler, hope to get back to more interesting art-based videos soon.
All Glory to God!

What Depression Feels Like

Best watched with sound, this Noah's Ark biblical diorama was created for a monthly art challenge @Boylei hosted for his patrons for Jan-Feb. For the diorama, I used polymer clay, moss and other natural materials, resin, polyester stuffing, an Anycubic...
I made three-dimensional framed resin paintings

Very nice build and an awesome result. I would like the Ark a little bigger. Now the landing of the ark at Mount Ararat would be nice too.
not me clicking on the title to challenge myself and promptly feeling quite called out by the content of the video. I shall be off to work on my novel posthaste 😂 Marvelously done, sir knight.
Your hard work and dedication truly shine through what you do! Keep pushing forward with the same passion that the Lord has given you! I can see your effort to make good and enjoyable videos, and I can’t wait to see where that takes you. Please, keep up the incredible work! The Lord bless you!
I watched regular speed to the end. First, I hope that you have healed from the trip and doing well. And I say this truthfully, I think your videos are great, but that is not the point of this video. I cannot speak to each topic, but one thing I do want to say. You could make the best video ever and show it to a sample of 1000 people and you would still have some people say that it was a waste. I understand why you want to make something that everyone will like, but that is impossible. Look at some of the biggest movies with Alist actors, even they cannot please everyone. Always try to push yourself to do your best, God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.
Your only screw up. Underwater snow? How does that work then?
That's technically true and I thought of that when making it, but decided it looked better anyway. I justified it by thinking that a significantly thick enough ice cap isn't going to instantly melt underwater, just like icebergs don't instantly melt into the ocean. This diorama takes place while it's still raining and the floodwaters are in the process of rising, which means this mountain is only recently covered in water. If the ice caps were thick enough, it's in the realm of plausibility that they'd still be white-topped for now, even if it would melt very soon.
Great job with the diorama of Noah's flood
Sorry I did not see this until so late.
Love it!

damn man im sorry i hope everything goes better
I agree that it is hard to watch , not because it is bad, but I am in this very spot myself. it is hard to fight against your own brain. it sits up there always thinking. so times meds help, other times they don't. You want to produce something to give your mind something positive but it fights back. As you said , you can put hours into something and one look and you tell yourself that it is trash. You try to love someone but you fight to not let your mind inject bad thoughts or past events. you can sit there and look at a blank wall and your mind will focus on everything to say you are not good. you can sleep 12 hours and wake up and feel that you need to sleep already. if you are lucky, you don't dream if by chance that you have a good dream , something will go wrong. then if you lucid dreams , welcome to the nightmare. But they are only voices of what your brain thinks and learned from a messed-up world. you are not what they say, you are Perfect. You was molded in your mother's womb by God himself. He made you perfect, but he also will give you trials to help you see that you are. Brother I for one , cannot tell you to just let the voices go , because I battle my own. But remember the only voice that you need to listen to is God's voice.
I've been following you for a while now, and I want to tell you that I find this video incredibly beautiful and meaningful. I'm grateful that you're so vulnerable, especially on such a public platform. It really resonates with me, particularly because I'm also struggling with dark thoughts. I often feel like I have to be strong, yet despite my achievements, I still feel alone. I hope everyone who sees this knows that they are not alone and that things can get better. I wish you and your loved ones all the happiness in the world. Greetings from the netherlands
Thank you for the comment. Comments really are a gift to me especially when they are thoughtful ones from people who found the video meaningful. I appreciate you sharing your personal struggle and feelings and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Wishing you all the best in your own struggles.
I hope you are doing ok, I love your videos
Thanks! I will have happier videos coming soon 🌞
This video is a bit hard to watch, and for a while I considered not posting it. These types of thoughts and feelings are hard for me to own up to when I'm not feeling them. When I'm doing better, this feels too vulnerable, exaggerated, embarrassing, or awkward. Something that should better remain private. Invariably, I have another bad spell and find myself thinking these same thoughts again. But what ultimately made me decide to share it is remembering that I'm not making these videos only for myself. My video about chronic illness, which I put a lot of effort into and I think it turned out really well, didn't get very many views. But it did get some comments from other people with chronic pain, thanking me for making the video because they could relate and they found encouragement in their pain from watching it. My dream for my art is to be able to meaningfully impact other people's lives in a positive way. Even if there is some humiliation in sharing this video for me, my hope is that it finds its way to at least one person, at a time in their life where it's just what they need to find some encouragement to carry on. (Even if they don't leave a comment to say so) I struggled with the ending. It's difficult for me to give dark stories a happy ending, and sometimes it feels forced. But if I left it just at the artistic rendition of being inside a mildly depressed mind, it would sort of feel like I was just serving as a platform for Satan to speak his lies. Even if the ending was kind of awkward, it was important for me to not let the devil have the last word, so to speak. Yes, the point of this video is to paint a picture of what it feels like to struggle with a mind like this - for those who struggle in a similar way to feel seen and know they are not alone, and also for those who don't to better understand their friends and family who do. But it's also to rebuke these thoughts as lies, to disown them. When you are depressed, these thoughts sometimes feel unquestioningly true. Someone out there reading this needs to hear this: if you are having thoughts like these, they are not the truth. Keep fighting to disbelieve them. The only way to if tomorrow will be better is if you live to see it.
As for as composition, I like the strong directional line of the candy cane and turkey wyvern (Wyvurkey?). Maybe slightly lowering the angle would help? Not sure, but looks great overall. And the hair is a great touch.
I like the Santa mitts: elegant way of addressing the perpetual "hard-to-draw-hands" problem in art.
First vid of your I've watched. The Chick-fil-A mascot now scares me, so congrats if that's what you were going for 😄
So good!
Hi, I was bedridden for three months, and chronically ill. I relate to so many thing said here, and this is a wonderful video. Thank you for it. I was constantly in debilitating pain. I’ve had doctors call me lying, went to 7 to tell me I was making it up, drove through states, and took medicine sometimes worse than my actual original symptoms. I was angry and bitter and it was terrible because the more time went on, the less people cared about me. It stopped being poor you, to “can you get over it already?” When people see you writhing in pain, it’s odd that they will often tell you to stop. I hated, more than anything, that every conversation was about the pain. The thing I felt every second of my life. Invasive treatment after treatment. I did get desperate, and got around 50 bottles of medicine so bad I couldn’t take it for more than a week. I even had one at the ER for headaches (with brain fog that probably led me there) that made me so erratic I wanted to climb out of my skin and punched myself in the head to knock myself out. Treatments so terrible throwing up and feverish and lying on the floor unable to think. When everyone telling me “it starts bad to get better.” Stick it out. I worry that maybe the medicine would have helped if i had taken it for months. I’ve had permenent damage to my body from procedures and other medications, had people who went with me blow up at doctors who told me they didn’t want to dedicate time to something so unsure. I lost almost all of my friends and any moment I felt somewhat okay was spent on school work which piled up. I’ve lost hope for the American health care system, I hate dedicating my life to a disease I don’t know and not knowing if I’m dying or “just” in pain. Hiding chronic pain was my response because it was the only way to be treated as a person and not just a list of symptoms to feel bad for. Or losing your sense of self using every ounce of your energy and brain power to live. I love your representation of this, and this video strongly resonates with me.
Thanks so much for the comment. I'm glad it resonated with you and hope it was an encouragement. I'm sorry you've been through all that -- it sounds like a lot worse than what I've been through. I'll be praying for you.
so honored to be featured in your content
Why did you pronounce it as "foilage" instead of "foliage"?
This brought such a big smile to my face :) The sun sneeze part reminded me of my dad who does that same exact thing 😂
