The doctor has said that if she has another pregnany she will die herself. She feels like she's loosing her husband and her other children because they have assimilated to the new land but she has not. Now she can't even sleep with her husband, the last bit of joy in her life. She is extremely homesick, sad and alone. She's very devout and she is now doubting that God exists ans she sings to Him all her doubts and anger.
