"Hard Ride" (from 1969 & complete album) which has "The Train" (BUT the album version does NOT have the choo choos in which the 45 mono version has). The song "Creations Of Simon" almost reminds me of the "Match Game" TV game show theme!!: ruclips.net/video/HkcJxAGReRQ/видео.html

I listened to WAKY 790 in the day time hours, it faded out in the evening, (time ?). At the time WAKY faded out.... WLS's signal turned up and WOW we had good music all the time. That was around 1962 (I was 17) on thru adulthood. God I miss hearing Biondi call out the stations I.D ..... "WLS 890 in Chicago" !!!!!! We couldn't get WLS in daytime, signal was too weak, but in the evening, OH yea.

What a great interview! Growing up as a pre-teen in the early 60's, my parents had virtually zero interest in music, and so there was never any musical influence in the house. My older brother listened a bit to the Ventures, Santo & Johnny, and the Righteous Bros as my only exposure. When I got my very own first transistor radio and tuned into the local market radio station that I'll bet Frank Jeckell himself knew very well, WARM the Mighty 590 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the 1910 Fruitgum Company was one of the very first bands I heard and immediately fell in love with. Although I have become these days a symphonic metal fan of the Nightwish school of appreciation, Fruitgum's bubblegum music from Simon Says all the way up to The Train still have a great influence on my musical foundations! I still listen to their oldies quite often! How great it was to hear these candid inside stories that I never knew before! Thank you guys and to Frank for making my life richer.

Wonderful honest interview with frank. I had the pleasure to reunite frank, floyd and yes mark to perform on a national satellite entertainment talk show in the mid 90s. They hadn't seen eachother in nearly 30 years. They performed to a backing track simon says and 123 redlight with mark doing live vocals. It was a thrilling evening. Weeks b4 mark indulged my fandom and sat down for an extensive near 30 minute interview and brought his gold record of simon. Yes i have it all on dvd now transferred from master videotapes. Mark was very gracious as he doesnt really like the spotlight. Frank and floyd were fabulous and i consider it a big highlight of my 40 year tv career.
