Your such Joke. Nothing but click bait!. Anyone with a half a brain knows you don't charge an ev from empty with a level 1 charger. Also, you neglect to mention that charger also comes with a 220V level two swappable end that will charge significantly faster. It doesn't matter how good something is, if you use it improperly, you will have a terrible experience. Educate yourself on how to use your EV as intended, and charge as intended and it is not the horrible horror story that you are desperately selling. Had my Ligntning for over a year, and have been driving EVS for over 3 years. Best move I have ever made. But of course I make up my mind through real world experience, not the endless amount of BS content producers like your self are selling!

Well from what I know this didn't age that kindly

I installed an "upgrade" charcoal filter on my last f150. It impeded the air flow so much that I swapped it out within 3 days. Just get a good quality regular filter and you will be fine. I was a technician for about 10yrs, so I have seen a lot of a/c filters. That filter was far from "dirty." If that was my filter, I would have slid it back in and button everything up. K&N now makes a/c filters. The are a bit pricey, but thet are cleanable like the engine air filters. I installed one on my wife's mach-e and it helped increase the air flow a bit. I plan to get one for my lightning when it is due for an a/c filter change.

My diesel generator 4000w, with output 220 volt and 16 amp work is actually really good as a reserve charger. Just know that from 20-80% takes about 7-8 hours. I have it in a box that I can put on the roof of the car or just in the trunk.

This is deceptive BS. You have that plugged into a 130 v outlet. Plug it into a 220volt outlet and it will be fully chargerd overnight.

Come guys what do expect….its like trying to fill a 30 gallon tank with a coffee straw 😂 guess what if you’re not driving everyday this works fine…but I used this 110 charger adapter for several weeks to just put back what I had taken out of the system each day 30 miles yes it was 12-14 hours but when I was ready to drive in the morning I had what I needed…I would to a super charger once a week to top off for weekends and repeat the process…until I bought the 100 amp charger got it installed takes me from 20 percent to 100 in about 5 hours….with a 60amp breaker running the system…10.5 is what I get going back into the system..charging at home is the only way to win owning a EV…

I pay $0.1014 / kWh electricity. What I care about is for my car at 80% charge (advised for battery life) range is 192mi. How much do I pay for that in equivalent gasoline? IDK. I do know that the EV we drive for all in-town errands "feels" way less expensive to operate than my HEV which gets about 50MPG in city. Doing the math, my car is rated at 113MPGe. 113 / 33.705, is 3.35mi/kWh. I know I get better than that. I'm at 3.7mi/kWh or greater. One round-trip I made was on average 5.72mi/kWh. To charge from 40mi -> 192 took 40kWh of power company meter usage. That is $4.05 for driving at least 152mi. I say "at least" because the range is a "guess-o-meter" and you don't really know what is your total range. Dividing my charge cost by range, I get 2.66 cents per mile, at least. If I do get 50MPG in my hybrid consistently, then a 11gal full tank should be 550mi. At about $4/gal that ends up being 8 cents per mile, or about 3x more expensive than my EV. Can I take my EV on a long road trip? I don't want to try. I'd rather not worry about "how far before I must charge up" and just get the 60mi/gal with my HEV and enjoy the trip. In town trips, no problem. It is way cheaper to drive my EV on electricity alone than gas. Plus our electricity is 100% green, as it comes from the Grand Coulee Dam.

I’ve owned an EV for 4 years and have never been to the dealership. Other than a set of tires no additional expense. We own a ice vehicle for long trips but given we rarely need that range, I’m considering selling it for a lightening since the price is coming down. We have a level 2 charger and my utility company provides a discounted rate overnight. Win, win. Technology will improve and this truck isn’t for everyone, but it is a great vehicle.

your whole setup is limited by the wattage of that standard cable that the car manufacturer gave you. It's a level 1 wall socket cable.

You went into the whole thing terrified of the thing. 2. You lived where there are no chargers. 3. You bought a 1st generation FORD that was poorly designed. 4. The range is horrible. NOT Ford best product to say the least. The Silverado EV has range of 430. It doesn't do 430. It does almost 500. GM WAS very conservative with it. Ford just brought a poor offering to market like the Hummer EV. It is way too heavy, has poor range, stupid expensive. Most all manufacturers have a goose egg. Ford Lightning just is poor offering in its current form.

buy a 1995 f150 lightning... completely restore it ... have less money in it than a newer truck and outlast a newer lightning. Oh and you helped pollution by taking a vehicle already made and reviving it to continue on!
