You forgot one point. The best thing to come out of Melbourne? The road to Adelaide. Having said that both Adelaide and Melbourne are regularly included in the top 5 livable cities in the world.

Wagga the biggest inland city in NSW. Beautiful city with rivers, lakes, great restaurants, universities and many schools and employment with major district hospital. Connects easy with domestic airport, national train line.

I think in this video you talked mainly of Perth than Adelaide. I think also Adelaide is underestimated.

Brisbane has .50c public transport fares now. You can travel from as far north as the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast (both 1.5 hrs north and south of Brisbane) for a maximum. 50c. Admittedly, the frequency could be better but still cheap for those on a low budget. ( all trains, buses and ferries)

Perth is too far away from all the cities in Australia. It is isolated. Brisbane is a better place. Lived here for 50 years. Love it. Close to all the major cities in Australia.

I had consistent great housesits until Nov 2023 ..booked until February ...had 3 short notice cancellations during this period..most expensive time of year...no cheap accommodation ie hostels accessible by Queenslanders in Queensland (state rule) used thousands of own funds..also several homeowner would not offer accommodation night prior to housesit (as usual) again paying for motels...totally unviable ..exploitation ..changing to Trusted Housesitters..wary re Queensland housesits..spoilt what was a positive experience.. need $2000-$3000 emergency fund with Aussi Housesitters in case of long housesit...preferred situation...too stressful..only do if have campervan, cancellation insurance or own home...reality..

Mostly unrealistic, idealistic BS. The suburbs highlighted in this video are concentrated on the central suburbs of Sydney. Much better value and good public transport is readily available in the outer regions.

Perth is just where you go to wait to die out of boredom or extreme heat for 11 months. Give me Melbourne any day of the week 10x over!!!

It's a no brainer, Perth is the best. But I recommend Kiwirrkurra Western Australia for anyone in UK to emigrate to 😊.

I grew up in Sydney, and have lived in Melbourne for the last 20 years. There is one simple huge difference which no one seems to talk about. It is summed up in one word: NATURE ! If you are interested in Australian nature, Sydney has a "great outdoors"; Melbourne does not. Sydney is surrounded by beautiful national parks, right on its doorstep, offering superb bushwalking and wildlife-watching, especially the fantastic native flowers and birdlife. To reach any decent national park from Melbourne, you would need to drive at least 3 hours from the city centre. All this beautiful nature overflows into the Sydney suburbs, which are much lusher due to Sydney's higher rainfall. Melbourne's dry suburbs and parks offer mostly European trees and a few introduced pest birds. Sydney has 3 major estuarine systems (Pittwater, Sydney Harbour, Port Hacking) giving it a stunning scenic coastline, and offering fantastic fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, and boating. Of course the real surf beaches add to the nature experience of Sydney. None of this can be found in Melbourne. So, after you have had your fill of all the Melbourne restaurants & cafes, and all the totally man-made entertainment that Melbourne is so proud of, where do you go on a sunny day for a little nature soul food? Where can you escape to in less than an hour where unspoilt natural beauty is free? Nowhere. Melbourne lovers are generally pure city people who couldn’t care less about nature. Well, I couldn’t care less about sport or coffee. I feel totally trapped in Melbourne.

I've only ever lived in Perth and Brisbane.... Guess where I decided to stay?...... Yep Perth.. Better beaches, less humidity, the wind isnt as bad as this video reckons, its actually a blessing on hot summer days.

I would say Canberra is only ideal if you have a high paying government job. As I always insist you can have a millionaires lifestyle on a middle class income in Adelaide. The nice suburbs in Adelaide are stunning. Tree lined streets with beautiful houses on large blocks. Summer in Adelaide is all about beaches. And sultry party nights. Winter is a about sitting by the fire in the beautiful Adelaide hills. Canberra is where you want to be if you have any inkling towards skiing or snowboarding. But honestly life in Canberra would never seem permanent. And the kids will be gone as soon as they're old enough. Where as people in Adelaide know they are lucky to have whatever they want in their day to day year to year generation to generation life. I know Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne. They can have it. Adelaides weather is the best weather in the world. I have no doubt about that. Maybe five 40 degree days a year. Which really are just a novelty.

If someone says Melbourne is great place to live, well yes 12 years ago! Not anymore! It’s so chaotic place, congested, over populated, house prices is highway robbery and depressive weather! Most people are grumpy, no community vibes and definitely not a laid back place to live

If you need stressful life and depressive weather then move to Melbourne

Melbourne is overrated and it is a very stressful place to live, too crowded, roads are congested, traffic and has depressive weather! You can’t even enjoy the beach because it’s too cold most of the year. Most people are grumpy and lost. Definitely not a laid back place. Housing is way too expensive even renting. One of the world’s unliveable cities! The only good thing there is plenty of work opportunities, that’s it. Just honest opinion don’t be mad! Lived there for 12 years! ✌️
