This is one of the earliest known documentaries about the Hmong people living in America. This video is being shared for educational purposes only. I do not own this video. This video was directed by Peter O' Neill/ Ralph Rugoff in 1982. Peter is currently working for the Rhode Island School of Design. Thanks and enjoy.

The first song on the first album! Sang by Vaaj Ntxawg. Sadly he passed away before the first album was released. His liver failed after a transplant surgery. He was the main vocals on the first album.

I wish the Black community apologized for how they terrorized the Hmong community when they first arrived to the States.
Cool! I met some of the band members before.

We should do something. I'm not anybody important but I'm a person n voice. This has been on my mind for years, but I've been distracted n busy. But truthfully I know my ppl want to go home n if not now then never. I'm out of generation where we can move on but I know we're not supposed to and if we do we're supposed take care of all of our veterans that fought in the CIA secret war because the majority of our people were the ones that died for the American. Every 10 Hmong died to save one america life n yet we can't retrieve what's owed to us? It's not like we decided to fight for a cause it was like we had no choice and because we were backed into a corner, means we're bullied and pushed aside like we don't matter but too many of our Hmong people had died for no cause and lost everything we know for no cause till this day they're still are people in the mountains confused and lost about this war and we go on about our lives because we don't live it don't see it. I want to make a change so bad n I know our parents and grandparents deserve it because their story are so similar and sad. Truthfully at the time of the war we were secret because the president and law makers were lying to the American citizens and use us Hmong ppl(unknown to most in the world) as we initiated provoked or even made himself sound like they were trying to save our people in the meantime it was the American that put our people in that place. So does this mean that we don't get any veterans pay or health care for the people that did fight in the war and can't work due to their injuries trauma and age now. Still an American CIA secret partnership in war. When we're not anymore and ppl know now. Why aren't my ppl taking care of? Why aren't we promised what we were then or now? Why isn't anybody addressing this? More than half of us suffered and/or died. What about my ppl?!? We need to stand up together as one to take care of our ppl. Idk why no one tries anymore.
ua tsaug toga kuj keeb txeej tsiab los ntsej muam mus tus tswv keeb tswv keeb yoga lub peb hmoob
