Triples alley isn't specific to this ballpark. It means right centre in a diamond shaped ballpark. Normally the deepest part of the yard is centre field but in a diamond shaped ballpark the wall in centre is flat causing the power alleys to be deeper than dead centre. When you have those deep power alleys and hit it to right that's the furthest part of the yard from 3rd base allowing for even slow runners to hit triples. Detroit has a triples alley as well.

How many times did McNeil just place the ball where no one can get it. Do any of you have any idea how hard it is to hit at the major league level, let alone be a CONTACT hitter?
