Amazing how such a simple tune can carry so much feeling for those who get it. Saw it when it came to the Santa Monica Civic when I was 9 or 10. To surfers of that era it is iconic and represents a whole way of life.

It was great to see John, Walter and Gus Playing The Endless Summer again. I grew up in San Clemente in the 1960s. John Blakely taught me how to play the Guitar. My brother graduated from High School with John and Walter.

What a nice surfing song , The Sandals bring back memories of my youth when I first started surfing as a teenager. The Endless Summer, couldn't get enough of watching the movie.

This tune, in connection to the film, transports me back to a time when we had time, Time to live, instead of time to just exist. A time of more patience, acceptance, respect, listening, ambling, simplicity. with lighter bodies, haha. A time where I think we were improving and would continue to do that. But, here we are.....It wasn't perfect back then, but now? Thank you for this tune which takes me to a quiet space, a place I feel thankful for having experienced and a place that reminds me to slow down and look up and around at the simple things.Things that wave to me and tell me it's all still here if I just jump off the edge and float...Gods music, for sure........Cheers and Aloha.

I'm 62 and saw this movie when I was a young kid. So magical. The music is unforgettable. Takes you to the beach at sunset, your body tired from surfing all day, your body radiatinf heat from soaking up the sun for 12 hours. The sand in your sandals. A cold beer in your hand. And watching the sun dip below the horizon. And time stood still.

These songs still give me goosebumps…and make me want to paddle out into a perfect wave and ride it all the way in.

Are the Sandals still going? I hope they are! These guys are amazing!!!

Man....if only food was free, I would have simply followed the surf and lived in peace. Yet, at some point, we leave home and find a job and work until we're old. My friend still surf and he's 78 years old, he catches the early morning surf down by the marina. There was a dream house for sale on Dana Point...run down but still milti million dollar home setting on the edge looking out over the Pacific 34525. Didn't make an offer, maybe I'll buy a trawler and cruise the Caribbean, life's short. Peace!!!

Hey John, your brother David taught me how to play guitar when I was in high school back in 1960's Minnesota, about as far from surfing as you could get. I have fond memories of learning how to play clean surf lines and melodies. I still use those techniques to this day. Say hi and thanks from me if you see him.

In 1966, I was 16. Watched this film in Easton, PA. The next day drove to the Jersey Shore and bought my first surfboard. I was never very good, then or now, but it is no exaggeration to say this movie changed my life. I’m still at it, knee to shoulder high these days. Got a trip planned for my “home” beach in Mexico (not Sayulita) this winter…
