Hi Henry. Do you have the pro or community version of eve? The Nat function that allows this is only available in the pro version. What you can do is connect a cloud from a machine (windows) in eve direct to something you want to manage, bypassing the lab infrastructure

You should only need to enter setup on first boot, during the setup process you specify the username and password

Have you checked the arp table on the switch, can you see the ftd but just not ping it? If you can’t see the arp entry then I’d check the interface config on the switch. Are you trunking the right vlan for the ftd ip, is that vlan created in the vlan database, is the svi for that interface up?

Is your ntp server reachable from within eve? Try setting up a router as an ntp server and making that reachable to ise

Hi Thiago. Yes, I download the raw iso file from the eve-ng website. I then created a new virtual machine and used the iso as the boot file for this vm.

Hi Devon. No, this is for the pro edition. Differences are that there is no Nat on community and that you can’t do warm connections, I.e you have to restart each time.

Hi Muhammad, thanks for watching. If you watch some of my more recent videos you’ll see I’ve invested in a new mic and camera to add to the quality of the videos. The link issue is due to me running the pro version of eve-ng which lets you connect/disconnect links live. I will be switching to gns3 for some upcoming studying I’m doing so will be setting up the devices in there also and will be making videos in that.

Hi Neelam, drag a switch onto your topology. Hover over your windows server and windows10 machine and click the network port and drag the cable to the switch.

Hi Vorn, these are the same images that you would use for FTDv and FMCv. They can be downloaded from the Cisco site if you have a CCO account. They come with a 90 day free license.

Hi Asahel, first off thanks for watching. Yes it is ok to only have 1 address and this is how most ISE deployments are set up. I created separate interface as I was hoping to use this for PxGrid comms between this and firepower.

For the permissions issue: systemctl restart licserver 3. After 15-20 seconds check License with with fix permissions command: /opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions It must show: Online Check state: Valid

Hi Rakesh, that very much depends on the version of fmc/ftd. Anything newer than 6.6 requires much higher resources. You could get away with maybe 4GB ram and 2 CPU’s for anything earlier than that.

@@rakeshkala7042 it will work, just may be slow to manage from the fmc. Might not to be bad , it depends how much you’ll be using it in the lab.
