The Oldest Available Program for Mac: MacIntosh Window Demo (Bouncing Pepsis) (DEMO)
Просмотров 129Месяц назад
The Window manager was the one of the most important parts of the User Interface toolbox, and the ultimate showcase for Quickdraw's "region clipping" technology. The window manager had to calculate various regions for windows as they were created, moved and resized, and objects drawn inside the windows were automatically clipped as necessary. The Macintosh window manager was based on the one th...

The backdrop image is of a Twiggy disk rather than a Sony disk. The disk is apparently called Mac 16D0, according to the lettering at the top of the floppy disk. There are three apps on this disk that work: Disk Duplicator, Format-Copy Utilit...

Microsoft won the rights to produce an FS version for the recently introduced IBM Personal Computer (PC) following a bidding war with IBM. In comparison to the previous version FS1 ...
Microsoft Windows NT 3.1 (build 511) on Windows 11 (FULL DEMO)
Просмотров 5982 месяца назад
Windows NT 3.1 (codenamed Razzle) was the first version of Windows NT, and it had a very similar interface to Windows 3.1. However, unlike Windows 3.1, Windows NT 3.1 was a complete 32-bit operating system, whereas Windows 3.1 was mostly a constrictive 16-bit environment, though it did include 32-bit components to take advantage of the 386 processor. NT stands for "New Technology" officially, a...

First available in stores and the general public on November 20, 1985, Windows 1.01 was the retail version of Windows 1.0. It was eventually retired on December 31, 2001. Rather than being a stand-alone operating system, Microsoft claims that Windows 1.01 is a "Operating Environment" meant to operate on top of MS-DOS. A word processor called Write, a graphical design software called Paint, a ra...

A pre-release build of Windows was created called the Windows 1.0 Development Release #5. This build is the fifth in the Development Release series. The goal of this build was to assist application developers in creating Windows-compatible designs and development processes. It was probably published in the weeks that followed after it was compiled on October 31, 1984, according to INSTALL.BAT (...

The music fucking sucks! God-damn you
"Steve Sez"... the developers had a sense of humor, I guess... :)
@@negirno hehe yeah
Terribly sorry for the 10-minute delay on the upload, just had some technical issues.
love your videos. Interesting to see all the old-school software in action.
mythical algorithm pull! what i would recommend is not becoming a "cashcow" and using your voice for your work. paired with better editing you'll gain pretty much a lot of subs. people care about the personality behind the videos, so i'd consider using a bit of your own personal aspects to elevate this video's quality
@@mikoblixel Thanks for this! I prefer not to use my voice for now for security reasons, maybe when I’m more confident enough, just maybe. I share these videos cause it depicts my hobby, I just like sharing what I find!
12:59 - that was sick! especially the octave change
@@MilMike Oh yeah, thanks man! I enjoyed messing around with that program!
its nice but the screen ratio make part of the demo be out screen.
@@Light-DelaBlue Yes I’m terribly sorry I tried to make the ratio fit with the rest of the video.
Terribly sorry about the second white cursor in the video, didn't mean to be there, the black cursor is the main cursor for the Macintosh.
this was a cool video, good luck growing your channel :) have you thought about narrating your videos? might make them more engaging
For privacy reasons, I wont be revealing my voice, but I have been considering it lately and maybe when I'm confident enough. But thanks for watching, it means a lot.
for sure 🫡
You are not using windows 3.1 beta on windows 11, but in a virtual machine or an emulated computer system.
@@gamepunk7963 Yes, I meant it is running on top of a windows 11 operating system, though I can see the confusion there.
Sorry if the video is a bit lower quality than usual, my computer decided to screen record on low resolution for some reason 💀💀
im not in the mood to read....
lmao
funky
Why you are running leaked win 11 bulid?
That leak was two years ago lol, the build is now publicly available.
@@NebOfficialChannel I know it but its beta version
@@bartexxy Yeah, however it’s the only Win 11 build I have, they’re mostly devs and betas but still, these can work with the latest build of Win 11.
How on windows 11?
Using an emulator, in my case, 86box (You may also use PCem) as well as installing a Disk Operating System to my PC as Windows 1.0 requires DOS.
You can also try NTVDMx64. There is an Endermanch video on that.
@@vaiovmI’ve heard of that one, I’ll try that out soon.
This deserves more likes and views. Great job on the video quality!
Thanks man!
Surprisingly high quality. wtf?!
Yeah ikr! I always try to manually enhance the quality of my videos as good as possible, but it takes some time lol.
cool video
Thanks!
great video! hope you go famous someday :)
Yooo, thanks man :)
Very nice. Didn't know that this could be run on a Windows 11!
The description makes it sound like the game was made for the PDP-10 computer, but it didn't exist in 1965.
About that, I really couldn’t confirm which computer this game was actually made for. I know that the PDP-10 was released in 1966.
This game could’ve been a test program for the soon to be released PDP-10 computer, which could’ve existed but not publicly announced (Which would’ve then been publicly released the following year). Another theory is that it was ported to the PDP-10 sometime in 1966.
