About 2 weeks ago I had a viewer “Tarheelsrule” who left a comment stating that they have 2 log peelers that they use to remove roots in yards so that people won’t run over them with their lawn mowers and bend the blades or crankshafts. So I decided to give it a try and it came to my mind, why not try it out on small stumps as well. The log peeler attached to my Echo chainsaw has been doing a g...

Great attachment, maybe even outn the weight another support stabilizer bar to just lean on the body of the saw on the otherside?....😊 whatcha think? I could also use this for wood chips
Good afternoon. Thanks for all your videos. I subscribed to your channel and just came across this video. I was wondering about the brand of log peeler. I must have missed it if it was mentioned in your video.
Looks good Paul!
Source the parts for your self. They buy from other vendors. Just find the vendor and you can buy that switch for maybe $5usd.
Yes I could have purchased the exact button switch from an online vendor for a lot less. I wanted to make a point that Land Pride / Kubota are overcharging. Have a super day!
@JelenOutDoors Yeah I made that comment then you explained it in the video lol. I jumped the gun brother. Glad you got your tractor back to going though!!!
Just curious....How old is your third function ?
It was installed on my tractor when I got it in May 2022. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
LOL you are either a machinery manufacturer worst nightmare or best friend, if I ever won the lottery and started making machinery the first thing I would do is put you in charge of quality control, great stuff.
Lol, it was a good test for the trailer. I hope you win the lottery. Have a fantastic day!
As a HM126 owner myself thanks for the tips & tricks, your content is some of the best I have seen up to date on the WM Sawmill, looking forward to hopefully seeing many more of your vids.
Thank you kindly. I am glad you got some value out of the video. Have a great day!
Nice I guess but why not just mount a real vice to the ATV in the background
Good Evening To Both Of You, I sincerely Hope that you are doing very well ( I'm little worried about both of you since it has been 3 months since you did not make any videos !!! ) 🤔🙏Be Well Cheers 🍻🍻
Good evening to you. We are both doing very well and have been quite busy. Time sure goes by quickly. Thanks for reaching out. Hope all is going well for you as well. Thank you and take care!
is this an sgc0660 model grapple? That's what I was searching on but I can't tell if that's the actual model
No it is the SGC0554 model. I chose it over the scg0660 because it is 70lbs / 31.75 kilograms lighter. Every pound counts. Have a great day!
You may want to consider spacing a two hook system about 12" - 16" apart from each other from Centre point, as too far apart the tendency to bend your loader arm increases if even pull or weight is not distributed properly and yes bolt system is proven to be stronger than any weld if spacing is correct on bolts. combination of both weld and bolts again superior.
Agreed. The one thing of importance is not to pull anything on an angle. I mostly use the 2 outer hooks for lifting or strapping items in the bucket and the center hook to pull. Have a great day!
I don't really mean to become "that guy" but your drilling technique is opposite of what is seen, slow speed and good pressure is what you want, lubricant liquid would be a big help, you would be through that hole in seconds. from A/C industry and believe me I have had my share of drilling holes in all sorts of metals.
No problem. Good advice is always welcomed. Have a super day!
Might be a good idea to take the bark off the whole log before you put it on the mill. The bark will usually come off with a pressure washer.
It's not a bad idea. Have a great day!
You need to put a fresh chain in, boy. That chain is as dull as a door knob
Lol, have a great day!
Love it. Great quality video
Thank you kindly. Have a great day!
Good stuff
Thank you!
It seems the link for your horn is no longer active. Would you be able to find another horn and wiring system that would suffice? I guess I could look myself I'm just worried about the size of the switch and length of wiring for example
No problem. I think this one would work just as well/ www.amazon.ca/KEMIMOTO-Universal-Switch-Install-Compatible/dp/B08NY4G49D/ref=sr_1_13?crid=2K1N65QI2RXI0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TEtDs6uGO0aeqR0_Vm_xzBDSvx6DXEFgWDL5ik5Z5p4zuLMCLW_0P0DpR-pZLJ6K3sh3NUE6V5P2otpc6gTdK7s31nz6nOjbJ4Z6pDHoQdQWiXXltaqSoamIaVHci4Z46C0uP94nUQUyi7fmy3mQWNuD_7RZC8rgnTZKHOhhMQFADyPJAAuPA1MiUg7g2-WaPGwwfqAJQRDqxUvZ3fCogaQRGt0aBIYsB9NwjW8ZreEVC0jzpyUtTHOiPN2uM95Vdfl6JbsCFZcYgN-JhiPd58-puNLw6y2TM5XzyNkhQTs.JvK9HM5IEVC6R6UqCuEh1XIqx9b5kUZZwPhD2_IbA1M&dib_tag=se&keywords=universal+12v+horn+kit&qid=1730413943&sprefix=univeresal+12v+horn+kit%2Caps%2C217&sr=8-13
One thing not to be an ass, but just for safety reasons please don’t throw your saw to start it. The pull rope should never be fully extended as this can cause wear and breakage. The second reason is for safety. If you don’t like to place the saw the ground, simply hold the handle part between your legs with a hand on the front handle, and the other hand pull on the starter rope. Just want to keep you safe.
Good morning. That is very good advice. I have been doing as you suggest for sometime now. I did notice that drop starting the saw is dangerous. I now use the saw on the ground holding it down with my foot method on cold starts and the between my legs method on warm starts. Yes you are correct on how to pull. Thanks and have a great day!
@ you’re welcome again. I was not trying to be a smart ass. I apologize if it came across that way I just don’t like to see anyone hurt and if I can help, save you some money on repairs well there you go. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
@@sturgis97No apology necessary. You made a legitimate comment and I totally respect that. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Hi Paul. Hope you are doing ok. Missing your content. Take care. @tnyankee
Good morning Jeff. Thanks for reaching out. Myself and the family are doing great. Yes we have been very busy and haven't had any time for youtube. Not sure when we'll get back at things. Hope all is well at your end as well. Take care!
Glad to hear it. 🎉

Have you ever had an issue with the damper? I was reading the reviews on the Drolet website and a review said their damper stuck open. I was almost sold on this model till I read that comment. Need to satisfy that concern before i purchase.
By the way, thank you for such an informing video.
Hi there. No I haven't had any issues with the damper. Have a great day!
Sweet set up
Thank you, it works well for me. Have a great day!
Get it broke???
Yeah, not the best choice of words, lol. Have a great day!
The momentary switch should NOT have failed. Land pride should not be so proud of their parts. Name to Land Price.
Totally agree. Thanks and have a great day.
Hows the bike handle the load driving around ?
I can feel the weight of the trailer and load, but the bike (Kawasaki 650) handles it quite well. Have a great day!
excellent, well done and thumbs up 👍🙏💪
Thank you kindly. Have a great day!
Clever
Thanks!
Wouldn't a planer work?
A planer would work. The debarker is basically a planer that also has a chainsaw chain that can cut.
Build a shed just to burn it down; sounds like a Burningman project.
It does!
it is a good way.
Thanks
Always good to have a sharp chain when you're cutting great video
Absolutely and thanks Mike. A sharp chain is much safer to use. Have a great weekend!
Great video Paul! Very well done. I will be doing an almost identical install on a B2650 next weekend. I bought the backhoe used and purchased a BH4973 (cab model B2650) subframe kit. I wanted the cab model to get the seat. I have the 3rd function kit like you do. Why did you remove your existing 3rd function hose that ran from the T side of the 3rd function valve back to the tank? Did that hose come with the kit?
Thank you very much. Congrats on the backhoe you are going to love it. The subframe kit is fairly easy to install. Having 2nd seat for the backhoe makes a world of a difference. I ended up installing a 2nd seat on my backhoe here is the link to the video covering that. ruclips.net/video/LzrQPr4bjBo/видео.htmlsi=4Oc73QyNUvdTW3Fj I removed the 3rd function valve return to tank line and installed a new hose that I had the local Kubota dealer make up. The hose/line and fittings did not come with the kit. The kit assumes that you do not have a 3rd function valve and you are connecting directly to your backhoe. The new hose that the dealer made up runs from the 3rd function valves (T-port) directly to the back of the tractor for the backhoe hose/line to connect to. I did it this way because I wanted fittings only on each end, at the 3rd function's T-port and at the backhoe input. Otherwise, the fitting on the hose connected to the return to tank port that I pulled out would have to be replaced with a new fitting and a short piece of hose would have to be connected to it to extend out enough for the line/hose coming from the backhoe to connect to. Hope this helps. have a great weekend!
hi,i like to see your work with your tractor tools good job man.i pushed my hydraulic pressure for my frontloader.now it works much better and lift the frontbucket maybe 1.5 meter or more ,before 0.5 meter.that is much better and its enough for my farmwork.thank you for your tipp and have good one.👍👍👍👍🚜🚜🔧🔧🛠🛠😊😊
How's she goin'? Wow Paul, you have a very professional set up there. You can maintain all your saws and never get out of your chair!! LOL Very impressive. You haven't overlooked anything. Having all these parts and pieces nearby will sure be helpful when servicing your saws. Thanks for sharing this. Take 'er easy
It's going good Mike, been super busy. Yup, I pretty much don't need to get out of my chair to service my chainsaws, lol. Have a great weekend!
Great troubleshooting and explanation. I have the same Land Pride 3rd function valve. Have not had any issues with a couple years use. Good to know what could cause the issue and how to troubleshoot should I have that issue. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I agree with you, that price is outrageous. Best of luck.
Thank you kindly. Hopefully you'll not have any issues with your 3rd function valve. Have a fantastic weekend!
Good job
Thank you very much. Have a great day!
Thanks for sharing! Great content! You are doing a great job! Cheers 🤝
Thank you kindly I appreciate you watching. Have a super day!
dont use the magnetic measurement which comes with the mill... mine shrinked segnificantly over time and i was wondering why im off-spec all the time replaced it with an metal one - everything fine again.
Thanks for the tip. I'll check the accuracy of mine. I normally don't use the scales, I use a measuring tape. Have a great week!
👍👍👍 You are always so well organized. Very impressive!
Thanks Dorys. Being organized sure has made it easier maintaining my chainsaws. Have a super week!
Wow just Wow Paul. Id consider myself fairly organized but you're next level organized. Love It! Excellent setup for sure. Thanks for sharing the secrets, I just need to follow your leed, but that's the hard part..lol
Thank you very much Mike. I run my saws so often using multiple saws in a day I find having a good system to maintain them has made life a lot easier. Have a great week!
Paul, that is beyond impressive! 👏 Honestly, I don't think a surgical operating room would be that organized. Thanks for giving me so many great ideas!
Thanks John. I use my saws so often that I needed an efficient system to maintain them. It works great for my needs. Have a super Sunday!
Wow, Paul you are loaded for bear when it comes to chainsaws. I'm copying your vice stand. Hope all is well. 👍😮🌴🍻
Thanks Mark. All is very well. The weather has been fantastic thus enabling me to get a lot done. Glad you liked my setup. It really works well for my needs. Take care and have a fantastic Sunday!
Really nice setup for servicing your saws! We use to wait until the ground freezes before logging but that doesn’t really happen much anymore so we’ll go out in October.
Thanks Brian. Yeah the ground hasn't been freezing up as much as what it use to. Have a great weekend!
Good video Paul. You've got a better sharpening set up than a lot of saw shops. Brent
Thanks Brent. It is a good setup, but I intend to make it even better. Have a super weekend!
I highly recommend looking at a bench mounted bicycle repair stand for tuning carbs, it holds the saw safely so you have both hands free to tun screws and hold your tach or bop the throttle
Thanks for the recommendation, I most certainly will check it out. There's always room for improvements. Have a fantastic weekend!
Holy frig Paul, this is one heck of a chainsaw maintenance and repair setup.
