I hope to move to France with my husband and our son when he retires. I am thinking the south of France because of the climate and its vicinity to Spain. My husband's ancestors are from there. Is it easier to get a visa and move to France if you are European? I was born in Portugal, raised in Canada and am living in the US with my American husband. What is the climate like where yo are? I don' t like hot humid summers. Thanks.

In fact ther are a lot of rainy days in the south of France in autumn winter and spring and heat wave and forest fire in summer Few days withthout heating or airconditioning

Not entirely sure what this was about.

I spent a couple days in Collioure at the recommendation of a fellow American I met on a food tour in Barcelona. Loved it, charming town. Stayed at the Templar Hotel, which was also charming with all the hanging artwork. Now thinking of retiring in the area.

How do you spell the place where you live and also the place that you drive to for more services please?

My wife and I are also in Département 66, but on the beach in Canet. We find the winter too cold and go south for December to March! Chapeaux for getting settled so happily in the area!
