One thing I will say about the New HIFIMAN HE1000 Unveiled is the realism and soundstage. The soundstage width, depth, and height were on an otherworldly type, like taking the HE1000se and making it sound like you're physically there. Like, I know the Susvara already does that, but imagine that real sounding guitar and just make the soundstage to the next dimension. Like going 2.5d to full 3d. There's one thing that the susvara does better still. The Realism of the Instruments Timber. The HE1000 Unveiled is 92.5% there for timber. The Susvara is 57.5% there for soundstage. Yes, I really said only 57.5% there. that's how big the difference is for me. It's not a gimmicky type of soundstage either. I hope you will try it one day. It's really a keeper for me. Im getting it the day i get enough money for it. Your reviews are amazing so far. Keep up the good work!

I listen to the HE6se V2 with the Cayin HA-1A MK2 that drives them quietly with musical synergy. I use the EF400 as a dac.

The edition xs is cheaper than the sundara currently. For that type of value... Also, how do you compare this to xtc openbacks (1 or 2)? I have the closed backs, but i love how open my sundaras are and looking for something that sound just as open, but better. I recently got a pair of Sash Tres. I have three Hifiman headphones. I first bought the Arya Stealth, then the 1000 Stealth, and a few months ago the 1000SE when it had a price reduction. I have used them with several DAC/Amp combinations, and they all sound great. Currently I have two stacks I use with the 1000SE, a Gustard R26 with a Headamp GS-X Mini, and an SMSL DO200 MkII with the HO200. Honestly, I cannot hear a difference with either stack. As you said, there is no need to spend a lot on DACs and Amps for those headphones.

No headphone is worth that amount of money, in my opinion. An headphone selling for this price is based on nothing more than “snake oil” salesmen ship.

Thank you for you're reviews bought the susvara after watching you're initial impression and other reviews and i love them but they're so Amp picky and they change a lot with DAC's and Amp's like nothing else i have seen honestly am thinking upgrading my system because I don't think it bring them justice my system (sennheiser HDV820 - denafrips Ares 2) and I have ifi micro idsd BL it distort with them

In my list of amps, I forgot the Hifiman Goldenwave Serenade. As a combination dac/amp that sells for $999.00 it actually does very well driving the Susvara. I would chose it over the EF-600. For even better sound I used the Serenade as a stand alone dac, feeding the Hifiman Goldenwave Prelude. This combinations gives even better bass weight and control.

Do you think that by HIFIMAN lowering the prices by 50%, they also lowered the quality (sound) of the HE1000se? Will they still be the same?

I bought the Arya Stealth recently for 650 and now returning them for the Arya Organic for about $300-350 more (I think 300 plus paying for return shipping). What I’m hearing about the organics, it sounds worth the extra 50% cost - clarity, more punchy, bit more detail, and bass

They're listening to me. I just a moment ago bought a new pair on HE6SE V2 on Ebay for $595. I see them used on other hifi sites for >$1,000. What is even weirder is that they have shipped within 5 minutes of me ordering them. I've received 2 or 3 emails already. I've got a Toppig A70 Pro & a Singxer SA 1. Should those be not enough amp, then I've got an Avantone CLA200 to try & a Hafler 9505, which are big heavy high power speaker amps.

It's not endgame for me. It's slightly better than the Arya Stealth but I prefer my £200 Aune AR5000. These RUclipsrs never stop with their hype.

They are cheap ass headphones that sounds great. Period. They charge premium money for low quality materials and poor QC .., seenheisers are made with cheap ass materials but their QC is superb. In any case they should AMP their materials

I have the FIIO K7 and honestly, it sounds very good in balanced mode. The balanced sound has better soundstage which is larger and feels like a more in-space presentation. It feels like I'm a bit lost in the music but in a good way. The sound feels more redefined and more emotional. Unbalanced mode doesn't sound far off but every time I compared the outputs, Balanced was always better. The headphone I only used was the HE400se. I volume-matched them as closely as I could and It's probably like a 12% to 7% difference. The 400se is still a boring-sounding headphone because it doesn't have enough bass and other aspects of sound as well but Balanced mode on the Fiio K7 made the 400se punch above its price point.

I heard this unit sounds better then even the ef400.

This was my first amp. I gifted it to my father. Highly recommend for anyone new to the idea that there is more quality to be had beyond expensive dongles. Great little amp!
