Just cupping my hands over my open back HE 1000 SE, its evident immediately sound starts to turn from rich sounds that rival almost anything to sibilant and hollow when covered. I'm sure its possible for Hifiman to do some tuning magic to enhance a benefit of turning the 1000 series into a closed-back. Looking forward to your impressions and review.
