Worked on there a few years so was good to see the place again, The maximum anyone can go offshore for is 3 weeks in the uk but the operations staff work 2 weeks away and 3 at home. Be plenty of other platforms coming to end of life soon so you may have a few more to explore

Oh my they probably had business in UK or abroad to have that much things in the house . So much toys and furniture they probably were making fortune 😮

Excellent explore there into offshore working very interesting look into what life was like on the rigs, I used to know someone who worked on these and they would spend about 6-8 weeks out there then when crew was switched you got that amount of time at home on very good pay the person I knew would get flown back to Humberside Airport in the helicopter then get taxi from there home for a nice 2 month break till next crew change.

A house with a maze of rooms and a lot of classic retro furniture and tech with the old wooden tellys and Im sure the computer was a Compaq Presario from the 90s with the cd rom and floppy dics on Windows 95 system, as for the newspaper collection can't think of any reason why someone would keep that many.

I changed all the fuse boards in that house so that no owners could get their insurance renewal, this is their second residence and you should not have gone into their home.

I'm not sure it's abandoned. The blast furnaces are shut down but steel is being imported to be processed so the cranes would work with that. I think you just arrived at a shut down period.

Hey guy's please could you edit out the name of property at the end of the video to prevent people less respectful than yourselves finding this possibly abandoned property and damaging it as it's a grade 2 listed building and therefore of historical significance.

I can't believe that house has been forgotten, surely? Apart from being a gorgeous house, some of that furniture is exceptional - particularly the grandfather clock (late 18th century). That place needs securing and rescuing fast.

Hey a new subscriber here just catching up 👍 I always think what happened that these people leave in hurry and leave their things back? Also why no one claims the property like relatives or family??? It was a lovely video and sad to see the house rotting away. Love from UK
