The ones against it were religious and their religion calls evolution wrong because to them it’s heresy. It fundamentally destroys their creation hypothesis with scientific proof that humans evolved over millions of years. They keep saying theory like it’s this magical trump card like the word means it’s not true just some “scientists” crack pot assumption. Religions has no evidence or proof to back it up its believe us or you’re going to hell. So without a doubt evolution should be taught in school.

OMG, I just realized that these are Adults! This is the Miss USA pageant, I thought it was the Miss Teen USA pageant! This makes it even worse, that only one, Miss Minnesota, gave an intelligent answer.

As an American, I'd like to remind other countries that only our least intelligent and least educated young women participate in beauty pageants, which clearly treat females as objects. No one with much sense or self-respect would participate in one. That being said, Miss Teen Minnesota gave an intelligent answer, with hers being the only one of merit. Miss Teen Washington gave a reasonable answer, but she said it in such a round-about way, "and what-not", that her speaking style made her content difficult to understand. The rest were great examples of the pretty, but ignorant young woman, who comes across to most Americans, as a joke. Miss Teen Kentucky could barely speak English. She pronounced "child" as "chailed", rhyming with "railed". Miss Teen Nevada could not pronounce the name of her own state. She said "Nuh-VA-duh", with a short A, the same sound as in the word, Advertising, when the name of her state is a Spanish word, pronounced "Nuh-VAH-duh", meaning "snowfall". Of course we should teach evolution in schools, it's a proven fact, upon which all scientists agree. And as this video indicates, we need more speech therapists in schools, teaching the less intelligent students how to pronounce basic words.

So should we also not talk about any other topic that people disagree on too?

Evolution is clearly selecting for stupidity in that area of the world.

Why not have two seperate lessons, one where evolution is taught & another where Adam & Eve & the talking snake theory is taught? You could do the same for all subjects, mathematics for example, the atheist teacher teaches '1+1=2' & the Christian/Mulim/Jewish teacher teaches '1+1=5'. Everybody's happy. I don’t believe evolution is true, but I do believe it should be taught as a theory. I also believe creationism should be taught in schools. All points of views should be embraced and children should be allowed to decide for themselves what’s true.

Evolution is not science in a true sense since evolution has not been proven. It is a likely scenario, but not 100% concretely proven like other scientific laws such as Newton's or Einstein's equation of energy and mass. The problem of creationism is that there are many versions of it depending on religions and none of them seems to have plausible or verifiable theories.

i would say firstly that it is a dumb question. just come right out and ask them if they believe in god it sounds like thats really what it boils down to right? cause if you believe in god then youre probably going to strongly reject it and in a way it would be forced. if something is "taught" in schools it is being forced. the second girl did pretty good. it is a theory and a theory shouldnt be taught until its confirmed as fact. school should only be about the facts.

As a scientist, i found most of the answers pretty good. Evolution is not a fact, but a lot of the facts go in favor of it. I don't see a problem not believing in evolution by these ladies. I am a lady that does believe in it. Peace 😆✌️
