IND: R211A 4140-44 chilling + R1-R9 (S) train arrives at Rockaway Park
Here is a transit video featuring some IND subway cars in the Rockaways. First, an R211A consist, 4140-4144, is seen laid up in the Rockaway Park (Beach 116th Street) Yard. Out of this consist, R211As 4140 and 4141 were seen specifically. 4145-4149 were part of another consist on that day. Then, a six-car R1-R9 consist (lead car 381) is seen arriving into Rockaway Park after having exited the layup track on the other side of the platform. The consist is 381-103-1000-401-1802-1300, which is adorned with (S) signage and NYTM logos. You can see 401 and 4140's number plates.

Here is a video of an R1-R9 consist (lead car 1300) leaving Rockaway Park-Beach 116th Street on the IND Rockaway Line, as it prepares to go to 96th Street-2nd Avenue via the Rockaways, Fulton Street, 6th Avenue and 2nd Avenue. Here is a 10-car Bombardier R179 consist (3044-3040 3030-3034) finishing up its run from Rockaway Boulevard to Rockaway Park. Taken on 8/11/24. In order to provide extra summer weekend service in the Rockaways, the (S) was extended to Rockaway Boulevard, and was extended from 300 to to 600 feet. Quite nice seeing R179s service this part of the Rockaways now.

I saw my self 2:17 with the black phone
I took that route a week ago with my younger brother, the driver didn’t seem to want me to get on( as he only asked me “where are you going”.) Luckily I was able to get on the bus, but as I did he looked at me weirdly so did some other passengers. I always felt like bus routes that normally get the rich and snobby people in westchester county try to be restrictive about who gets on.

I don't know, but damn this is pretty close, in theory the motors on these R211s are the same but in application I think some motors may have a tad more acceleration than others!!

Alright, something is really going on, XN40 #719 crashed while on the Bx32 route, and it's almost a repeat of what happened to XN40 #709 two years and 1 day ago. 13 passngers were also injured in the process.
