This is a really great video! I'm looking for videos like this to help me understand the core mechanics of leaders and decks. Thank you very much!
Thank you for watching! Happy it helped!
Im always waiting of your video. The best tutorial and explanation by far and easy to understand. Pls keep it going!
Thank you so much! Any leader you would like to see next? I’ll try and cover them sometime in the future!
Awesome video! I would love to see more Lucci videos focusing on battles against Doffy, BY Luffy, and Enel.
@@Gvalensuela You got it!
always great videos bro! Compliments this is insanely useful for beginners
Fun TCG
Ah man, great :) You have a new fan!
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it!!
@@OfficialBrockLee A lot, very very helpful, to see how decks you dont own work. Especially as a beginner it also helps even more to see the playstyles.
Can I have your thoughts on op 10
@@Underverseenthusiast I’m very excited for it! Lots of fun new cards coming in and so far looks like a very diverse meta!
Great video I just starter playing the game I Bought st15-st20 starter decks to play with my friend group and get a feel for each color
@@nevermore6831 Great idea! Any color stand out to you just yet?
not gonna lie, having a video like this for more meta-y decks would be awesome for any beginner :) Great content you offer in general!
@@derpderpson8796 Thanks and great idea! Will get out another breakdown for another deck this week!
Jumped into OPT from CFV, game looks way more balanced competitively, I bought 2 ST Doffys. dropped around $150 for all the extras and tech stuff. I'm looking forward to playing in 2025 despite missing out on Nats tickets.
Welcome to this TCG! Yes balance is quite good! Every leader has pros and cons, but Doffy is a fantastic pick! Good-luck out there!
Thank you very much for this video, I picked up Pluffy and starter to play on the sim for like a week now. Today I’m gonna play him on my locals for the first time. Don’t know what to expect but I’m confident I’m gonna lose every game 😂😂 Greetings from Germany, keep up the good work
Hey good luck today! Losing is part of the journey! 😂 The best way to learn what to do, is to do the exact opposite and then know better for next time! Thanks for watching!
Ive always had leader decks for 2 of my top 3 favorite one piece characters (Red Ace, Red Sanji), but now Ill finally have one for Usopp, my favorite character! Ontop of that its a leader from my favorite archetype, and my favorite color combo? I cant wait for op-10. Im going to put him in a deck box with a Kuro deck.
Jeeeez you’ve hit the jackpot!!! It’s almost here!
🧐🤔🤨 Just got into OP back in Oct., Been spending time reading and learning the abilities before I jump into a game, also finally was able to build a viable deck, but this was a very good explanation of a active battle and play by play. Well done 👏 More Content 🙏
Glad it was helpful! I’ve got some more analysis coming soon!!
I actually just started getting into one piece tcg and i love your vids so far do you have any tips you can tell me on buying which packs
Welcome to this TCG! Packs are a bit tricky, as buying singles will always give you better value. But it’s super fun to do! (I buy some packs every now and then). Is there a leader or set you had in mind you wanted to play? PRB-01 is a nice general option as it has cards from many different sets! If you like shanks or Blackbeard then I would recommend OP09!
Thank you for this detailed explanation!!
You’re very welcome!
always been a fan of One Piece and randomly decided to try the card game out and these types of videos are what us beginners really need because we can talk but if its not in front of us, some people still wouldnt understand the combos and what happens. Please keep this up even after going to tourneys.
@@YoungSpitty Will do! Glad you found it helpful 😁
cavendish is a boy 😂 🥰
the blue clown that plays smiley from deck is better than the 7, and silvers and benn beckman for power reduction. and the new event bari bari pistol. and grav blades. i also dropped the searcher for doffy blocker sorter.
@@grippersrealm Oh the 3-cost doffy blocker? The deck organizing is a nice bonus in addition to the extra defense. And benn and silvers makes sense too!
@ ive been simming clown with the gameplan of: cycle monet, maintain hand, swing at lead with lead to clear board, and protect life til ben/silvers.
Hey I've got a question for you, I'm coming from the anime and love Perona. Any competitive viability in your opinion to play her as leader? Cheers
@@kifo4195 Hey I would say your best option is the Green/Black Perona from OP06! While she’s not quite competitive, you can still perform well at locals and play a solid deck! I would give this a try on the OPTCGSim and see if you like her playstyle!
@OfficialBrockLee Awesome appreciate it!
@@kifo4195 You’re welcome! Good luck, let me know how it goes!
I just play whatever my bf has so I play purple-blue reiju. It's working pretty well lol
Oh I haven't tried her yet! How do you like it? I remember facing one or two and seeing some very cool combos
I play Black Beard . For the exact reason you said. I hate them and i dont want them to have fun 😂😂😂😂😂
LOL nothing wrong with that! 🤣🤣
I'm definitely going to pick up black/blue Usopp. Yellow Kid and Red/Green Smoker(Tashigi) are also options for me to play.
@@BboyTurok1990 I’m with you! Yellow Kid and RG smoker both seem really fun, and Usopp’s Rebecca play seems pretty crazy at 7 DON!!
Cavendish is a dude.
We put pilaf in ceaser, don't run the Ceaser and smiley replace with red hawk and round table
@@Xnfinity130 Oh interesting! Haven’t seen round table be used too frequently.
@OfficialBrockLee I'm running 2 boundless table and either 2 to 4 red hawk, I found ceasar and smiley useless in the deck I'm just upset the 2 drop 2k koala is type locked
@ Okay yeah I tried a few games and felt the same way - dropping them down just didn’t feel impactful at all. I’ll need to try this! Have you been finding success with him?
@OfficialBrockLee yes, been feeling good but like people think, he needs more support
Sugar will be fun to me , also more support to my Doffy GP , which I love
Oh exciting! Have you tried Sugar out yet? Lots of cool new cards in the upcoming set!
I feel like Imma love sugar since she is like Nami but aggro
@ Yeah there’s some fun to be had with this leader! So many events, hard to chose which ones to include.
Law really interests me but the ST2 cards and the EB cards are starting to get really expensive or hard to find, at least in Australia
Oh yeah Cavendish is crazy expensive here too, not too sure about the ST2 cards though! Hopefully some get reprinted soon!
Also if my voice sounds a bit strange I've been sick all week 😅
How do you feel about (G) uta?
Uta is a solid leader and has potential to do very well! She is definitely less popular of an option, but you can clearly make it work, as an Uta deck recently placed at the top of an OP10 tournament!
@OfficialBrockLee I felt the same way. The deck is simple and effective, which is why it's overlooked. People think it's to straightforward.
W
Doflamingo in S for beginners? Its one of the most complex decks on this list of decks. A good doffy player vs a bad doffy player is a night and day difference and is known for being one of the highest skill check dexks in the game outside of BY Luffy
Hey there, this list is not on how hard the deck is to master! I am not saying the deck is easy, and of course at the highest level every single leader out there requires an intense amount of skill and decision making. But the core strategy of this deck is very easy for a new player to pickup. (Use your 1-costs to find cards and arrange deck, then Leader ability + Jinbe combos to swarm board)
@@OfficialBrockLee beginners cannot just pick this deck up at all and it be clasified as easy with an S tier. Im sorry that is objectively wrong. It is by far one fo the hardest decks to play.
@ You’re entitled to have that opinion! As I mentioned in the video this is all my opinion after testing all of these leaders. Doffy was one of the first decks I played when I was a beginner and I found it very easy to learn the basics and play him. Again I am not talking about high level play here, this is for beginners. And yes Doffys core strategy is objectively easy. If you are going first you play a searcher turn 1, leader ability turn 2, and then turn 3 and onwards you are looking for Jinbe combos. Going second is a little different, but you have a similar plan (turn 2 you can just play jinbe + another with your four DON!!). After this you just have to learn how Marshall D Teach works and you’ve got the basics of the deck down.
Great job, Mr. Lee!
Thank you!
thanks for taking the time to walk us through your thought process. this was a very helpful video! keep up the good work broski
Thank you! More stuff coming soon!
great vid thanks
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your video, you just gained a new subscriber for sure! I hope you'll have time to make more videos in the same style because I find this kind of content truly amazing.
Thanks so much! Will definitely do more like this in the future
This guide is really what the beginner player really need. N yes sometime i cant catch up all of what is happening from other video battle coz i dont know why the player make the move while some happen so fast. Thanks to your previous video guide i learned most of the card, combo, and the deck and in this video i can expand more knowledge bout the decks battle without much struggle. I think we need a lot more like this battle guide from time to time. Its easier to rewind again the video if happen cannot catch up bout the process. All in all, thanks for all the guide :)
Watching this as I just bought a BY Luffy deck 💀
That is unfortunate timing 😅 but you never know what you are capable of until you try! Perhaps you will learn it quickly and be the exception! And if it doesnt work out - try Facebook marketplace for some of the other starter decks. Some people bought multiple copies for the booster packs inside, and can sell just the cards as a decent discount!
@OfficialBrockLee I have tried Katakuri, but I have been thinking of buggy, I know doffy is a way better blue deck but buggy seems like a real nice choice for me, being less than 40€ most of the time, so he seems nice as a 2nd deck to play with to get more the hang THEN switch to BY fully, what do you think
@ Yeah that’s a solid option! And if you like blue there’s also Boa Hancock - it’s a fun deck where you are constantly bouncing cards back to your opponents hands. But Buggy is a good pick to learn too! I think BY Luffy is a good option to try later like you mentioned 👍🏻
@@OfficialBrockLee I said buggy not because i like blue (I have never been decent with it) its just, I need a REALLY cheap deck as the BY Luffy has taken a lot of my budget
@ Oh okay then you could try Boa too! Only pricier card is Jinbe, and you can substitute around that for now.
more like this would be amazing
You got it!
this is great! thank you for this
You’re still the best OPTCG channel. Thx
You're too kind! Thank you!!
This video was super good!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Coming from YuGiOh, this game looked quite simple from an outsiders perspective. However, after seeing you explain all of your thought processes, you have convinced me otherwise and I might just have to buy a deck and try it out myself!
@@Maki-Roll Oh very nice! Yugioh was my first card game as well (I don’t count Pokémon since I only collected). I think you will really enjoy One Piece!!
Thank you for this video! Extremely helpful and would love to see this type of video for different decks! You deserve all the subs
@@surbdon Thank you so much! And good idea, I plan to do more in the future!
Black or yellow sounds like my fit. I usually play black in MTG so they both sound similar, just use different aspects of black.
As a OPTCG beginner this is the best video I have seen so far, thank you for the video and please keep making them!
Thank you so much - I’m glad it was helpful!! More videos coming soon!
"I chose shanks because i like him" shanks>mihawk
You gotta play what you like! 😂
The quiz one really is unique and fun section. When i see the zorro effect im quite Wow isn't this really a strong card + with cost 9, 9k atk too.. And yea he can atk 3 times is super strong since i did play other tcg with similar effect and its one of guarantee win condition at the peak time
@@ahmadrahimi7248 Exactly! And since this only costs 3 DON!!, we could attach the 7 remaining DON!’ and attack three times for 16k!
Blocker didn't go to trash after blocking?
@@kapanikah2786 If power of the attacker exceeds or matches the blocker, then yes he’s off to the trash!
This video helps a lot.. This is what I'm looking for since the game is all about strategy n the core play and since im new i need guide like this rather than to read all the new to the old card from each series without getting to anywhere except mind fatigue. I wish we can get 'how to do swing and defense effectively from early to late game guide' too.. N thanx a lot 😊
@@ahmadrahimi7248 Thank you for watching and glad it helped! I will definitely be releasing something like that!
this video is awesome and informative
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching :)
I"ve watched a lot of these which color videos. Your explinations is by far the best. Simple to the point. Thank you <3
