Idk why they left out this scene in the anime but at one point she wanted to just be normal sisters with Miyo but her Mother freaked out and started screaming at Kaya about how Miyo is worthless, beneath her, and that she needs to be better then her at everything. Kaya was even scarred of her mother in scene. She was manipulated to hate Miyo from age 3 and spoiled Rotten. All because her mom thinks Miyos mom stole her man when it was an arrangement.
