As an avid reader I'm constantly coming across deflated tires with every page I turn. I'm not sure how they got there but it sure is quite a coincidence that a promotion like this could be offered. Unfortunately I'm not sure what I'd do with all these tires once they are inflated. To be honest, I kind of prefer them deflated, they'd come across as too intimidating otherwise.

Thanks as always, Rick, for being one of the few people truly tapped into what is going on and for providing such poignant words on what the reality of our current world is like. As someone who may or may not have spent this week outside the convention this was a great way to cap off the week. Those inside the United Center are living in a very different world than those outside. Even more horrifying is those outside a one mile radius of that arena, for them this was just another week in August, Oblivious to realities of their government's actions, even as helicopters circle overhead and sirens blare down Ashland Ave, they are kept in the dark sedated by the lies of politicians, journalists, and clerics.

I am deeply disturbed by what is happening in Gauze and it was so validating (for a lack of a better word) for me yesterday to hear you say: I am depressed so I make these videos or something along the lines. I cried to sleep last night. Your videos had a powerful effect on me. Somehow it did not register that I have been depressed too watching the live streamed genocide in Gauze since 10+ months. It's strange to me that there is no English translation of 'Memória de Elefante' (Elephant's Memory), his first book which came out the same year as 'Os Cus de Judas' and, along with the latter, usually the one "everyone" in Portugal has heard of or read. Also, I see no reason why translators would skip 'Tratado das Paixões da Alma' ('Treatise on the Passions of the Soul') which I remember as being very good (published after 'The Return of the Caravels', before 'The Natural Order of Things'). As a Portuguese native speaker I'm confident in saying that 'Os Cus de Judas' taken literally translates more accurately to 'The Buttholes of Judas' (i.e. the anus). It can indeed mean "ass" as well, but in this particular expression it feels very anal. It's also interesting that it's plural as the idiom is always used in the singular (Judas' butthole). When pluralized it strikes you as very deliberate and feels slightly jarring, as in English 'The Souths of Nowhere' would be. The more anodyne idiom with the same meaning and protagonist is "where Judas lost his boots". Cheers from Lisbon!

An assassinated Netanyahu fairly likely will bring to power someone even worse. What could stop it all is the United States anyway. We’ve been allowing this to happen. The other thing is Israel’s ability to sustain their genocide or even expand the enemies they’re actively at war with…….and to my eyes anyway what we’re seeing is their own self destruction in slow motion. They’ve become a pariah state whilst at the same time have been tanking their economy and in a way I’d like to one day see Netanyahu have to answer for that.
