Welcome to my channel. I often say "where nothing goes with anything else." That would best describe it. I usually put things of interest here that friends have expressed. I like to restore and repaint and rebuild vintage sewing machines that have been left in the dust, sometimes quite literally. I feel it is better to have them in use than in a land fill. They tell a story, even if I don't know what that story is when I receive them .
I also like to post some funny animals, wild and domestic. Some of my videos are from many years ago of Brooklyn, New York.
I hope you enjoy watching. Terie

Elephant Abstractions Quilt #3 Using non traditional Fabrics - Violet Craft
This is one of my Elephant Abstractions Quilts I made using Violet Crafts pattern. Love this pattern.Made it 3 times so far.
I used a fabric line called Dog On It by Anna Lauer. I added a few complimentary fabrics as needed. Then I quilted it on my vintage Singer 201 -1 Simple quilting, mostly eching the shapes.
I have been stuffing my tusks so I just call it a ME thing. Then did the binding in a traditional manner.
Now, where to display it. #1 and #2 and taking up my wall space. lol
Thanks so much for watching. Be well. Stay safe. Be cool.

SPARTAN 192K - I AM SPARTACUS! Singer Spartan Sewing Machine (a jazzed down 99K) $60 IN 1960!
Просмотров 1822 месяца назад
Purchased a 1960 Spartan, also known as a 192K - made in Great Britain. Also known as the Singer 99K Bare Bones Model. Why from what I can see, she is missing an on board light and she sits in a black plastic base with no cover, no decals, but aside from that I have yet to find a difference. She is a heavy little 3/4 machine but don't let the size fool ya. Her motor is a .8 amp which is hefty f...

Enjoyed your video!!! Love how we all have a different way of explaining things so that anyone can learn from us!
Thank you Katy. Yes. Our minds work differently but we all want to land in the same place. Right? Thanks for watching and commenting.
I had fun watching this play list! Very educational!

awww cute lil one!!! ;) :) This machine looks almost pristine.. :) :)
Thanks Katy.
That's a good looking machine!
I love it too. I can't seem to decide whether or not to hoard it or have someone else enjoy it. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Glad you liked it.
These little machines are so dang cute! So very educational too!
Thanks. I didn't think the featherweight was for me but once I had one and I used it I got hooked. They piece so well. And gently. Thanks for watching.
Watching these videos are so interesting and educational at the same time! I do have a couple of questions though. Do you wear protective mask to protect your lungs while using chemicals?
Yes. I can't be breathing that in. I also protect the dog. He is never in the room when I am spraying. I also always have ventilation and an exhaust fan going, even long after the job is done. Thanks so much for watching. Be well.
@@sewterie I would love to watch you do this in person. I think it'd be fun!
Hiya Terie! Watching this whole playlist! I'll be liking and commenting to help too! Thank you for reminding me of what your niche is! This will be a lot of fun! I wish I could find a featherweight on this side of the pond but so far nothing! ;) :)
Thank you so much Katy. I appreciate it. I hope you like my content. Please continue to watch if you do. I enjoy your channel as well. I am often lurking while working but I am there. Be well. And thanks again.

She is beautiful!

I’ve had my heart set on a NYB for yrs! Maybe it’s time to review, again, & set a goal for 2025!!
YES. I have looked at it as well. I know Susan Y. has done one. It sparked my interest. It is a good goal and it can take ALL YEAR. (Imagine we are heading into 2025?) Thanks for watching and you can always reach out. You know how to get me. lol🥰😘
Thank you so much I will have to try to save my paper pattern with my next fpp project.
Try is on a small project so you get the knack of it. I don't even think about it anymore, as you saw in the video. I really didn't enjoy the first one I did that I sewed the paper When I had to tear it all away. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. See ya soon.
Great tutorial. I struggle with larger pieces. Do you have a trick for cutting the starting piece?
Hi there. The first piece it pretty much the shape of the "A" piece with a 1/4 border around it for the seam allowance. You can trace that middle piece of each section then add a 1/4 inch around it using your ruler. That should give you an accurate first piece. Then, attach it either with a pin or with a dab of glue like I did. It helps if you add a quick shot of heat from your iron, but don't overdo the glue. It is not needed, especially if you plan on sewing thru your paper as traditional FPP is done. I hope it helps. Please let me know. And I thank you for your question. Reach out again if you need to. Be well.
Great tutorial ❤it helps a lot. Thanks ❤️
Thank you Giovanna (GoJo) Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate you watching. 💗
Great instructions.
Thanks Patti. It is fun and one of my favorite projects to make. I will post a photo soon. (Probably in the community tab.)
So right side is on the bottom. Or on the table. You make it look so easy.
Hi Lori. So your first piece, I anchor it to the paper with the glue. This piece and only this piece goes right side facing out. SO you are putting the wrong side of the paper to the wrong side of the fabric. The next piece, you place right sides together with the first piece. Just like a quilt block, you put the right sides of the fabric together before you sew. If you need any help, please reach out. Next time I will use printed fabric. Thanks for watching and leaving me a comment. I do appreciate your feedback as well. Hug the rhino. hehe
😊NICE Teri!
Thanks Kathleen and thanks for watching. 😃
Thanks Terie. you're appreciated. that add a quarter ruler is sure useful for pdf patterns.
Thank you Denise That ruler is a great invention. I always cut using the thicker side with the rotary cutter. It is just safer. Thanks so much for watching and glad you enjoyed it. And I appreciate you as well. have a good one.
Thank you sew much Terie . Your demonstration helped me out a lot. I really appreciate you taking the time out to show us how to do it. 😀 P.S. your”re awesome!😀
You are welcome. Watch a few times and let it sink in. And don't forget the insurance!!! lol. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the tutorial. I have Jacqueline De Jonge "Endless" paper pieced, I've never done this before so I watch all I can. Have a great evening 😊💛
I wish you the best with that. There are many great tutorials out there. I appreciate your watching and commenting. Glad i can be of help.

"Chippette" is a very pretty machine! (See? I read comments!) I do see the dog 🐕 lol!
Thanks Marie, as always.
Another great video. I really like the touch of foiling the light. Great idea and it looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jim. Glad you liked it. I enjoy doing this. Foil gives the machine a nice touch when it just needs a bit of help.
Beautiful machines!
Thanks so much. Be well. I appreciate you watching.
