    When people are hungry, they will eat road. Signing multi-million dollar Road construction contract with foreign firms is one of the oldest fraudulent scheme with which the ruling class legitimately transfers funds out of the country. Governors have been pulling the scheme for decades. Tinubu is just doing it on a massive scale. Nigeria is facing extreme lack of economic opportunities, which has resulted in lack of gainful employment, extreme hardship, crime, insecurity and chaos. Instead of aggressively initiating EXPORT INDUSTRIES that will generate FOREIGN EXCHANGE REVENUE for the country, and create SUSTAINABLE employment, they're shipping scarce funds overseas to foreign construction firms.

    This isn’t Phase 2. The Phase 2 is between Lekkk FTZ and the Ogun/Ondo border and in your previous video, did you confirm that the structure you saw was a train station? The rail is expected to start from Elegushi but I may be wrong but this isn’t Phase 2

    One trillion naira? Okay, that might sound huge to the average Nigerian that's not exposed to the costs of comparable projects abroad. Living in the United States for over two decades and still counting, one trillion naira cost for a project of this magnitude, is peanuts. Let's be real, people.That's about the cost of constructing the "Cuomo Bridge" in the state of New York, which is less in size and span to the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge in Lagos. The cost comparison couldn't have been otherwise since the cost of construction materials, salaries and bills of project engineers, consultants, workers, etc, are by far lower and cheaper in Nigeria than in the US, not to mention the huge and daunting regulatory hoops and huddles to be overcome in the US to get myriads of government approvals. It would take, at the minimum, no less than 20 years in the US for a project like this to come through as exemplified, for instance, by the now notorious California state highspeed rail project that has so far gulped over $20bn and remaind unrealized till date in over 30 years even before I relocated to the United States. Well, this little tutorial is for those crying about project costs, delays, and what have you, as alleged. Such individuals might want to improve their tunnel vision and do a bit of research on comparative costs elsewhere since they like to compare conditions and situations in Nigeria with those so-called developed countries. Again, for example, when they cry about fuel prices in Nigeria which has naturally risen since the removal of fuel subsidy, they might find themselves chilling out when they learn that gas prices at the pump in the United States goes up to $1 per liter in places plus tax added to that cost. It ny math is correct m, that is or close to N2K per liter at the current exchange rate. It costs $20 or more to have a simple haircut in New York City, for example. So everything is relative, philosophically speaking. Be happy government is finally working to deliver the goods rather than whine and complain sll the time like spoilt kids. Too much negativity floating around good projects like this one that we know we need to move the ball forward.

      How can they start planting trees on the road they are just starting? Apparently, you don't know how govt projects work. To lift a pin needs a budget and approvals. And that's how it's all over the world. If it's not part of the entire project scope, they won't be able to do. However, since it's the ocean front, not too many plants can survive the salty mist that pervades the air, so they would need the agric experts to do their due diligence on that.

    • @adekunleyussuf4259
      @adekunleyussuf4259 4 дня назад

      I don't think the trees are necessary now when the construction of the roads is still ongoing. I suggest you go and look at the master plan to see how the embellishment of the road would look like. I, for one will will prefer a clear road without any obstructions or shadows reflecting on drivers accessing the road. Also, for health and safety reasons, who knows, the trees can be used by the miscreants people to hide or to kidnap Nigerians. Fulanis herders are good at using the thick forest near the express road to commit crimes against Nigerians. Please relax, let the road be completed, and the embellishments of the road would be carried out afterwards.
