Great shave Gary. Yes Milton is definitely one evil storm. My brother lives in Ocala which is directly in the storm's path. He didn't get much damage out of hurricane Helene, just some branches and some small debris and it was category 4. The worst storm he and I ever went through down there was hurricane Andrew which was over 30 years ago now and it was a category 5 storm.

Great shave Gary. Yes I'm in Virginia. Security was a little tight today as Vice Presidential canadate Jd Vance was in Damascus, Virginia which is about 15 minutes down the road from here. He was surveying the damage we had from the flooding. I won't be doing a video this week. I've got the FEMA insurance claim coming on Sunday plus mom's got some appointments at UVA this coming week and I simply won't have time to make one and upload it.

Thanks Gary for taking the time to think about my mental health. Seeing you using a thicker lather brings a sense of calm to me. Have you ever considered trying a straight razor? It might make for an entertaining video. I have tried it myself but honestly a good DE razor and blade combination gives a shave at least equal to the cutthroat without the potential for drama.

Great shave Gary. Yes we got 9 inches of rain in less than 24 hours. The flooding occurred the next day and was extremely fast. We go to town and it's not out of the banks and was not rising or anything. We get back home in about an hour and a half and it's near our back porch. Within another hour, it was half way in our front yard and it had come through our shower drain which had damaged lining. The town repaired it today and we're in the process of cleaning it up. Our insurance agent has already filed a claim with our flood insurance.

Great shave Gary. We got flooded but it's already came and went and everything is back down to almost normal levels. I've got a couple of videos going up here shortly. One includes some footage from my cousin who lives downtown and saw the flooding happen. We got 9 inches of rain the night before.

Gary it’s time for the Panama 1924!

At last, a lather that is staying on your face. Thicker is better as long as it doesn't clog the razor. I mentioned that straight razor shavers prefer a more watery lather. There is another guy with a website Called Daves. He recently did what I would consider a master class on lather production and shaving. Thanks for humouring me and keep at it.

Hell yeah to the Thursday Shave!

Oh Gary you did it again. At 7:45 you had a good lather but you just couldn't resist adding more water. Why?? Look at how watery and runny it is. If you love watery lather so much I would suggest giving up on DE razors and trying a straight razor. By the way water and oil hate each other. Adding soap is the magic. Soap has a molecular structure that has one hooked end that attaches to water and another side with a hook that attaches to oil. That's why using concentrated soaps without water renders the soap as almost useless. Maybe you should stick with Proraso pre-shaves. And use less water in the lather PLEASE. It drives me crazy.
