      @sawyerramos3113 well the only thing up there is the radiator inlet sounds like you probably need a new radiator, I would double check the tube connection to the radiator first to make sure it's tight but other than that there's nothing else up there except for that radiator If it's not coming exactly towards the front of the vehicle but it's more underneath the vehicle on the passenger side then you need to start looking at a water pump check the front of the motor and make sure it's dry get underneath it put your hand up there

    I’m looking into building a bucket would you recommend the 27 kit over the 23 for longer wheel base? for reference I’m 6 foot 5 about 230 lbs just worried about leg room in the 23

    • @GearHeadzGarageUSA
      @GearHeadzGarageUSA 2 дня назад

      So honestly what ever route you go your going to be a little tight. I'm 6/3 and did 1100 mile road trip in mine and it's not bad but .........for a few extra inches go with the 27. The reason I have a ton of room is I didn't go nuts with interior padding etc. Check out the 54 episodes of the build I believe the interior was around ep10

    Did you get the DF rear struts or aftermarket? I used Maxspeed they work great , once you get past that they oil them down. To keep from corrosion, I guess. The struts work good and are adjustable. I sand blasted and painted mine to match my frame.

      @ It’s a 2015 it’s almost 300,000 miles . It’s been repaired quite a few times , I can’t remember everything. The Brakes were terrible until I discovered that year the brakes were swapped divers and passenger side in the factory, the exhaust DPF clogged twice. Fortunately the second time it cleared out thank god.

      Yeah that DPF is expensive. My 2014 Duramax was almost 10K to replace the DPF set and it was about at 200k

    Dude you are solving my problems with every video! In regards to the Raptor liner you used it on the interior, deck lid and underbody how much did it take. Amazon had a kit but I wasn’t sure on the amount I would need. Thanks in advance Best regards Brian…

      Glad I can help, the link to the exact kit should be in the video description but you will use 4 bottles total if you want good layers and multiple levels of adhesion otherwise it will peal on the gell coat but you must also lay down an 2k epoxy primer after you prep and then prep that as well

    I'm a retired aerospace engineer and I am surprised that there are few lock washers and minimal flat washers provided with your kit. When I specced out assemblies, I always wanted my fastener stack up to remain fastened. I may be anal retentive but I would want all my nuts to be facing in towards the center of any assembly, all bolts to have washers on them before assembly for better loading, and a lock washer under the nut to help retaining the fastener assembly. You might be curious to know that even the bolt direction has to be installed per drawing on any aerospace assembly. Just my put as vibration can cause fasteners to vibrate loose and it would be a disaster if this thing came apart at speed.

      The interesting thing about this kit is it's actually designed by a former AE machine fab shop known as Doyle Fabrication. It's my understanding that they made parts for the industry before forking into kit cars. So far I believe there are about 500 plus of these on the road and so far I have only heard of 4 accidents that were associated with speed, as well as a design flaw in the steering upright which has been corrected but definitely don't want to be the 5th incident. Once everything starts coming together more like I did with the T Bucket we will go back and do our own changes. But to your original point, will take a revisit to some of those you mentioned as it was a head scratcher for me also!

    carb cleaner or juiceolne may take off the winshield adhesive but may also damage or discolor the powder coat
