If you should have to do the belt again the best way for me was to us a zip tie to pull the tensioner together then put the edge of the spring in a vise, bend the spring and slip quarters in until its to size. Pops right in visegrips to pull you money out
Thank You! Same mower same issue fixed
You’re welcome
Used the fork. Didn’t seem to make the job any easier than bending plain wire.
I think that's where the issue with mine is is that spring. So where does it go? From the lect across to the right from where to where please?
Thank you for this video.
This is nice. I have the exact same lawn mower with the exact same problem. God bless the internet
I got the ZTS2-50". I think I paid near $6K? too much, but darn it's a good mower.. very hilly property.. big leaves to suck up. With the steering wheel and two huge rear tires for traction, it's a zero turn ATV.. I can mow places never considered before. Just blew my drive belt like yours.. so this issue is generic. Love this mower.. I X-Bladed it, super Vac'd it, added a dump basket. Love it. Not a fan of that S-Pattern blade.. there is a way to put different axels in your existing spindles. Will switch to the toro 5/8 round hole. Blade speed with the 50" may be a little slow.. with three 17" blades instead of the 21" used on the 60 inch decks. Might consider a pulley change. Not sure what all that 2x2 junk over the engine was, so I cut it all up and made a tool rack, etc. Now adding a socket for my leaf blower. When do they go EFI on expensive lawn equipment.. about time.. carbs are dead. Had a toro steering wheel zero turn.. was great, but no where near the tracking precision of this one.. rarely tears up the grass.
Thank you!
Thank you!!!! I’m a single woman taking care of my property and my machines and thanks to your video I fixed this myself 🙏🏻
I’m glad it helped 😊
Quick question… i tried loosening the bolt with a ratchet but the pulley just moves with it. I have the arms in/out of neutral and have tried holding the pulley with vice grips…am i missing something? Any thoughts…?
Tried silicone lubricant and a drill driver as well…and the bolt still wont budge 😫
Did you figure out how to get the bolt off? My transmission belt slipped behind that electrical connection and I'm stuck trying to fix it. I've tried PB Blaster on the bolt with an impact socket and it's still not moving. Do I need to put a rope in the spark plug??? I'm so lost and irritated! There's got to be something I'm missing.
Lol. It’s exactly what you said it would be. Got down in the grass and there’s the stone!!! Thanks for the video.
Do you know why my handle do not want back to 0 position fro forward or backward?
Thanks man this saved me quite a bit of time
how it's done ruclips.net/video/FpsPGH6MxpY/видео.html
Just unplug the clutch plug
Hello Sir is this the zt1 42e model?
It’s the 54 inch deck model
You clean out the shed
😂 you got that right! Thanks for watching ❤️
This poor fella, nobody showed him how to put on a t-post clip before. That being said, the fence fork does look like a handy gadget. Too bad I have about 3 five gallon buckets of the old clips to use up first.
We have the same issue with out 60 hour Ariens Edge 42'' and yep the belt is off so I'm going to remove the deck and replace the belt with a new one and give the entire machine a grease.
Nice 👍
Nice vid. But you got to clean up your shop..
😂 you ain’t kidding. I’ve got a pile for everything and everything in it pile 😂 Thanks for watching ❤️
Take the valve core out of the stem, thats how professional do it
You are correct however this is a very small tire and doesn’t hold much volume of air and the valve stem is a bitch to get into with its size and relationship to the mounting bracket. I would have removed the valve core if it had been a bigger tire even though I’m not “A professional “. Thanks for watching and God Bless!
I watched a guy attempt this trick with an ATV tire. It still wouldn’t seal. They then sprayed it with ether and I told them to take the strap off. They didn’t and that strap snapped right across the guys arm as soon as he lit the ether lol he leaned that day!
Haven’t seen that in person but there are videos out there show that very thing. Thanks for watching and inflate safe 😊
This work for tires with large sidewalls. It made changing jeep tires actually possible
Yes I will work for large tire. Thanks for watching ❤️
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Did your maple seeds ever grow?
Out of all these videos that I have watched nobody shows the or orientation of the belt how the belt supposed to go on which area goes around what we just what I'm trying to find out
what size bolt holds on the wheel on a cub cadet tiller Its a RT65 Model # 21ab455c709 Thanks a lot if you could help.
Echoing Kevin below...you saved my ass...glad today was bicep day at the gym, because it's not especially easy to get the spring back on there...thanks much!
Can you say "Dammit Bobby"?
😂
Thank you!! I thought I bought a lemon, simple fix!!!
Thanks. I was able to come in with a small pry bar and get the belt back on without dropping the clutch. Wife had it die on her under the tree we just slaughtered chickens at. So I had a smelly dirty time layin on the ground. But it was quicker than pushing it or towing it out of the way
God bless. Thank you!
You’re welcome ☺️
Transmissions are the weak point, hard to keep dirt out. It’s a pain to replace the bearings and chains.
Very Good!... #62 ✝ {5-27-2023}
To much sun…
Dude! I almost blew a gasket when my Cadet stopped moving! That was an easy fix. Appreciate the help.
What a rotten little dog, the bigger one was just being nice
😂
This has happened to me twice. Sweet gum tree spikey balls get lodged up there. "Drives" me crazy. Does this happen with commercial grade CubCadet mowers?
I would guess not. They are probably shaft drive but I’m not sure. When I got mine I didn’t have commercial grade money 😂
Thank you for showing how to plant the seedling, I tried planting them myself and then I thought, " I hope I am supposed to leave the helicopter part out." so thank you for clarifying. I hope mine will take root and grow. -God bless.
You’re welcome ☺️ Hope they grow 👍🏻
I need needed to see how u rapped the belt around the pulleys, couldn’t see it
Good to see you all having videos again😊
Lol... you got to watch them for a minute
😊
Raccoons tickle me esp. when they are startled & start bowing & backing up.
Another thing to check before you start doing this is that the levers that disconnect the axles from the drivetrain (looks like a candy cane shaped slot on the frame to each side of the engine) is in the position that engages the axles otherwise it won't move. I had a client call me to fix their Z51 Cub Cadet because it wouldn't move, and the belts were off, which I reattached but what I didn't know was that they disengaged the axles to push it, but they had forgot they did that and I didn't know about that feature. So after I fixed the belt system it still wouldn't move. I was getting ready to start tearing it seriously apart but wanted to roll it over to a more solid ground, and looked up a video on how to safely move it, and that's when I discovered those axle disengagement switches and they were disengaged. As soon as I flipped them back to the engaged position, it moved.
You should redo the video. That tension spring is light. I unhooked the spring, rethreaded the belt then rebooked the spring. Way easier!!
I was literally about to post to do this instead. The way he did it was way harder. You put the belt on that pulley he is playing with first, then the last one you hook it on is the tensioner pulley. You just unhook that spring that attaches to the frame underneath the back seat section. You can reach it from the top with the seat folded forward. Then climb back underneath and and slide the tensioner pulley inward, put the belt on, then slide it back as far as it goes, climb back up to the top looking down and reattach the spring to the frame. Done.
@@Steven-gv1ke That is exactly what I did. That tension spring is a little wimpy if you ask me. It was not very hard to unhook.
@@todd1785 I agree. The spring seems like it should be stiffer, but it seems to hold 🤷
Thank you so much. I find the regular clips to be hard to use. Ordered from Amazon as I am currently making my pet pig a pasture. Anxious to get them.
Glad it was helpful!
I have a 0turn like this, a year old and it didn't work i look at your vid. And I found a 5 ft. Long snake underneath
That’s crazy! Glad mine was just a rock 😂
On a rush sorta situation we bought a Champaign 22 inch tiller. It had power, but it didn't dig well especially in on hard clay soils. On hills it you hit a slight higher spot then the rest it would almost want to tip over, & the thing would shut off cause it wasn't getting fuel. Got about 2 years out of it. The reverse broke, & the throttle cable weakened, had rig a bungee cord for it to hold. We had a warranty, & after jumping thru a few hoops we got our money back cause throttle cable was no longer in production cause the model was discontinued. Definitely disappointed it didn't last. I looked at a bunch of video on RUclips to what our next tiller will be. After viewing the videos, & reading thru the reviews folks have written, we decided to go with the Yardmax 4565. We're hoping it'll be a good choice for us too. Others looked okay too, while other were a big nope. This Cadet doesn't appear to bad. We did purchase a Cub Cadet commercial grade push mower, I really like it. So easy to operate. I'm very pleased with it. So glad we didn't go with some Honda. Eventually we'll get a rider as we got a half acre. But we'll still keep out Cub Cadet mower. It'll be my work out mower, & the rider will be my get-r-done fast mower lol.
You showed me the problem but I for the life of me is not sure where the spring goes
