very good tutorial thanks
Good looking watch! I really enjoyed your very detailed and long form video style, well done 👍🏻
Great explanation, helped me a lot ! Thank you!
Thanks 🙏
The sirens were perfect 😆😆😆OUT OF POISE ..OUT OF POISE… RED ALERT‼️
My dad did it that way too. Super technical 👍🏻. Nice to see some low tech solutions instead of buying another million dollar too
You are so picky!
Pressure testing an empty case is a waste of time in my opinion
You done yet?
Nightmare over
Spectactular work. I wish people knew how much of a jump it is to do work like this. Most watchmakers in my market make that bullshit slash across the arbor to get the amplitude they need. It's fucking disgusting. I've been a watchmaker 12 years now and I'm ashamed to say for only the past 2 years have I started diving into lathe work. Before that I would just reject jobs that needed bushing repair or any type of lathe work. Mind you in my market they only pay 200$ an overhaul and think it as fortune because people out here will do a complete overhaul on a time and date automatic for fucking 80 dollars! Great work champ!! Let's keep fighting the good fight!!
Since this last year I’m now working at an ORJ for salary. Better for me to stay up to date with training and swapping with new parts on modern watches only. Whenever I post my next videos they will most likely be personal projects. The RUclips channel was my last ditch effort to survive while working on vintage.
Hello. can you tell me what paint you used to restore the numbers on the bezel?
Testors model paint matte black
I’m building one of those soon 👍🏼
I noticed that the timegrapher had a lift angle of 52 degrees. I am only a learner (hobby), but I read that the lift angle of the NH35 is 53 degrees. Why didn't you insert the correct value of the lift angle before you tried to correct the movement? Thank you for your video, I learned a little bit more.
I didn’t know it was 53
Where can I get those jigs to hold the bezel… and where did you find deer the silicone sand?? Thank you in advance …
Rolex
where is the case from?
NamokiMODS link and discount in the description
Watch this at 2x speed. Thank me later. (It’s a good watch I promise) but do it at 2x and watch it in half the time
Truth be known all of them other watch making videos would be 2:11:22 as well. If they left in all their mistakes and did not edit them out. Well done for giving everyone a heads up in the process. and keep it up. IRELAND CALLING Can you send link for dial please.
Thanks man! Thought it was a good opportunity to share
Nice
Nice
How much costs this kind of work?
Very valuable and useful! Just what I was looking for so thanks a bunch!
I wouldn't have used tweezers to pick up the dial. They can leave a very tiny mark on it. By my knowledge, I'm guessing that the little 😉 pegs on the back of the dial are the dial feet. That looks 👌 like a very fine watch ⌚️. How much could I expect to pay for this watch build? Would it be more, or less than a watch that's all ready to wear? Your friend, Jeff.
Working full time now won’t be able to do it
Don't go hating on someone who's new at this. Keep learning my friend.
I like the content for sure but the music??? dear lord please get rid of the music man...
Yeah I agree but, I can’t re do it.
There’s still a gouge over the 16 that bugs me, and a few other scratches, but I’m OCD.
Didn’t want to refinish the bezel any deeper so that I could preserve the depth of the numbers.
Fantastic! I like this watch!.
Thank you
I have tried to do this with “S” type springs previously. However watching your video gave me the needed moral support to try once more. It worked! Many thanks!
Your welcome 🤗 glad the video found the right person
Perfect job
Thanks
How did you remove the bezel from the case??
Razor blade, hammer 🔨 and case knife
I've built a couple of mods and while this was part amateur hour, there was some pro stuff as well. None of the watch modding videos I watched when I was starting out ever showed the regulation process. While this was a long video, I enjoyed it a lot. Makes me want to get into my next build. Oh and you'll get that silver play button for sure!
Thanks!! Definitely some amateur hour here with this being my first mod. I was expecting everything to go wrong in basically got in my own way in the beginning. That would be amazing to get a silver play button!! I’m thinking of the next mod as well. Haven’t been able to post anything in a while. Life is wild. Thanks again!! Hope you’re next project goes well
If you had a light source behind the bezel/disc, wouldn't that be helpful for alignment? I can't believe that thing doesn't have a wheel to fine-adjust the angle.
Haters gonna say it’s worthless because it’s not original 😂
I only go to nkuwan to buy a mirror copy watch!
Yikes razor blade on the dial. I use a pointy wooden toothpick.
Question for you, On the 4130 you remove the crown in the winding position? Seems like everyone says something different.
Yeah, I usually remove from setting position but, sometimes when I’ve re installed I’ve had trouble getting the stem to lock back in correctly. I recently had a comment saying it’s better to remove from winding position so next time I’ll try removing from the winding position to see how it goes.
This is awesome!
Thank you!!
Youneed to watch a video on how to sharpen a pocket knife.
I think you’re right!! 😂
Great content! Do you remove the stem from 4130 in winding position? Cheers
I usually put the stem in the setting position when I remove it.
According to Rolex, the 4130 stem is removed from the winding position to avoid messing up the keyless works.
@@Lonnie91a Thank you, that's what I needed. The first time I removed it it was on time setting and I indeed keep messing up the keyless works, so I suppose I learned it the hard way. I'm removing it on winding position and it works perfectly now, smooth out and smooth back again every time. Cheers
Great to know
i wish i could that. thanks for sharing this it was awsome
If I can do it you can do it.
I would like to fix the balance of my rolex rolex 1500 it seems to have problems I am from Puerto Rico
You can do it
Sadly that doesn't work on this watch, as the second hand just keeps going regardless. but then again, its a different watch. worth a shot. its non hackable, but the minutes hand has no effect on it in either direction it seems.
Hi! Congratulations, this video is great. How can I buy this dial? Could you help me?
I found this dial on Ali express
In your description, you mention “nation work.” What is that? I’m new to watchmaking.
Ohh my bad. Thanks for catching that. That’s an error on my part. Instead of “nation work” it should be “power”. I’ll have to edit that later.
Nice work.....
Thanks 🙏 thinking of the next watch to build.
Sadly, I find myself only liking watches that are very expensive. But I don't care about the name, so my question is : Is it possible to have someone (not me!) make a watch from scratch by buying the parts to make my dream watch? Is this possible?
Sounds like you need a new watch! Lol
Time is a dead god Shiva 🌹🌚👍 Rest in the Good News 🌹 Okay bye
Cool
That's a really good looking build sir! Building your own watch is so fulfilling.
What size tool did you use to open the back? everything I try is to big or to small
Sadly there’s no evidence of the factory chamfering left on those lugs anymore. I own a 95 16600 and my chamfers are still like new.
Sounds about right
You can restore them. I use a mirror polished carbide steel rod ran down the edges repeatedly. It smooths the chamfers back.
What glues did you use?
Gorilla glue super glue
