Bro I need those gloves, what are they and where to get it ?
Which gloves are they ? Id like to buy the same , thank you bro
I have to level with you buddy. I have known 2 friends now die on the road riding 1ks. 1 very close friend is still alive but has literally had his skill cut open, twice. We all race and we all like fast things but I do not think anyone should ride 1ks on the public road. It's not your skill level I question, it's the fact that most* people can not see you, especially if you're going double the speed limit as them..
The difference between motorcycles and cars are that the fast bikes aren't impossibly expensive on an American income; and we love our sports cars and overbuilt trucks so you get idiots and people who don't know better buying race bikes that go faster on the ground than anything else on the planet, they end up getting hurt or dying, and it gives the rest of us bikers driving cruisers and small displacement bikes a reputation for being reckless and stupid.
I never understood what people were talking about when they say about bikes being too fast.... Only as fast as you want to go. You could ride this like a 125 if you wanted to and never go above 60mph.
i started on a ninja 250, after 2 months i bought a gsxr 750, been riding for 1 year now, everthing fine, thats from person to person, even after 5 years in a 250, if you are an idiot u gonna crash with a 1000cc and says that u crashed because the bike isnt "streetable" xD
Get a S1K and drive it In wet mode
Dude, if You want to ride 1000cc just do it. You don't have to make a crappy video to have a reason
About logo must be on the Steering wheel . Like Shelby, the paint job on those cars are so bad the clear coat so thin , otherwise the car are Perfect
I'm 33. I've ridden here and their over the years but never owned my own bike till about 3 weeks ago. I bought myself a 2024 mt07. I knew I could start on a liter bike, I'm a decent rider and have a good head on my shoulders. I just love the sound of that cp2 with an aftermarket exhaust on it. I've put about 600 miles on it so far and love it. The mt07 is punchy and fun.
I swear it looks like you live in Alabama
You saved lives and prevented injuries with this video. 👍🏼 Regards from India.
A starter bike is a cheap bike, not a slow bike.
I rotate from small ,medium and big bikes they all fun and boring in there own way
Very similar to a 600 I rode my friend old r1 felt heavy and same as my 600 just top speed pulls harder
Duke 390 was my first bike and I still love it. I don’t want to get rid of it. Was thinking of upgrading to the 890 or 990. I was nervous though because the 390 definitely allows me to get away with a lot.
Stop playing moto GP going double the speed limit into a turn. Problem solved.
I think the more important question or test is how easy is it to maintain 35 MPH, (or the speed limits in your area). At 35 MPH, what gear are you in? At what RPM? That’s the real test of owning a 1000cc. I ride a 1000cc daily. Imo, it’s not optimal. But I enjoy the HP and torque. A 600, 650 or 750 would be better for most people for true LEGAL street riding.
Tbh i want 4 cylinder 1000 cc on highways touring a twin its tiring a small cc is tiring a v4 smooth engine just love it great power
Glad your ok bud that's one way to get humbled I guess
They just suck at everything besides the track or highway, the end. Doing city just get a grom, they even fit in the back of youre moms prius👍 doing long distances or trips, just get a nice sport touring bike, 1000cc bikes are just really focussed on being the lightest and most aerodynamic! Most riders dont always do 150mph or only track it, waste of money and effort😂
cc is so misleading. A 1000cc on a big cruiser is a slow bike. Better to go by horsepower at the rear tire: cause that's all that really matters.
I think the power-to-weight ratio is also a great method of knowing what you're dealing with in terms of handling.
Subbed because of your character.
What's scary about 1000cc : Throttle response
Three days after passing my test I got an 850 , I don’t know how I didn’t go through the hedge on the first corner and got through a back tire in a week as I was riding it like a 125 😵💫 really should have worked my way up but somehow I didn’t crash and am still here 🙌
I love the fact you were talking about people not understanding and utilizing. Glad your okay!
There is a lot of truth to this. I've known multiple people killed and maimed on bikes, trying to be the fastest, show off, etc. The older you get, the more you see this and if you're lucky you end up being wise and riding smart. Some aren't lucky unfortunately.
Notice when he downshift the rev match lol Im practicing that now
Woah woah woah there who said supersports are not for 400-500mi trips for sight seeing. I freaking love taking long trips on my r6 for sight seeing. I just do my sight seeing real fast 😉
How do you do 400/500 miles bro? My wrist kills me on my 1000
@@greatestnitemare6626 just ride. I have long arms so I am not forced to ride in an aggressive position all the time. I can sit upright and rather am comfortable when I ride. When my wrist gets tired i just loosen up on the throttle hand or do some flexes on my wrist and I just keep going. I daily commute on my bike 🫡, just love it
I have a ninja 400 I'm about 190 pass cars just fine the bike is Hella light tho a windy day can take you on a adventure
Yeah, this is absolutely not for me. I don't like going too fast. ~70hp is perfect for me.
Do people really pay $400 a month on insurance for these bikes?
Thats why u buy a 1000cc bike with decent power modes.
Wow, that was great information. I never knew that
To this was absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂
Please don’t hide from us man.. we support you 100% I just found this channel but you seriously have helped me and many of us in the community with talking about things in riding that no one else talks about. Maybe you could just be an instructor or a teacher. I’m very happy that you are okay. And you are certain not letting any of us down. We are actually very proud of you for making your decision. We’ll be here for whatever you decide to do at this point on your life.
Thank you SO so sooo much for this because this is NOT talked about anywhere yet it’s exactly how I feel as a new rider. Thinking too much on shifting, being afraid of the high vibrations and the bike yelling at me, bogging down the bike too low, essentially letting the bike control me instead of me being in control of the bike. The hyped up social media concept of just punching through gears, blipping the throttle, rev matching, and all the things get so pushed that I never actually thought about slowing down my mind and finding and staying in one “comfort” gear where I can confidently adjust to all the changing conditions on the road. I will gladly share this information with my fellow new riders as well. Thank you SO much Skyoom 🙏🏽
Anyone know what bike this? (I'm not gonna buy this as a beginner don't worry, just interested.)
Slow speed confidence is so important ❤
Dude, everything you said applies to any motorcycle you want to ride. Being able to pay attention to yourself and your bike is something you should ALWAYS do when riding ANY motorcycle, not just a 1000 sport. Regardless if you’re riding a 300, 600, 1000 sport, cruiser, etc, you have to stay focused and mentally active throughout the ride.
I’m doing my motorcycle safety course. I’m still surprised by the throttle sensitivity and power of a 400cc bike. Motorcycles seem to handle like shit when I put weight on the handle bar.
9mph is dam fast if you ask me just releasing the clutch I’d expect like 4-5 mph that’s what you get out of most cars. 9-10 is what you’ll need when you add a big cam on a LS
I'm 70 yrs old and 8 yrs ago I bought a Royal Enfield 535cc Single Continenal GT. Cafe Racer and a KTM RC 390 Racing Bike. They are Big enough for me. Most of the time I Ride around on a 23yr old Honda 125 cc. I do all my own Maintenance and I have no interest in Giant Motorbikes. My KTM goes like a Rocket from the Traffic lights if I lean over the front so the front wheel only lifts about a foot off the ground !!! My Bikes cost very little to Run. 90 miles per gallon approx. And they don't weigh a Ton !!! I only Ride Fast on my Isle of Man TT Simulator on my X Box Series X !!!
I went through the MSF course and got my license recently. A guy in my group was a new rider (stalling a lot, difficult riding) and was showing everyone his new 1000cc he bought. I hope he’s okay.
Thank you for sharing this! You have put up so much good content that me as a total noob has truly appreciated! I’m so sad that you experienced this. Thanks for your honesty and story. Please take care of yourself
Great vid! Good advice for someone like me who started about 3 years ago on a Ninja 400 and a thumper 650 cruiser! I made a few "throttle mistakes" with the Ninja 400 from time to time. Especially when I first started riding and at times when I had not ridden in a while & was a little "rusty". When I first got my Ninja 400, I accidentally almost popped a wheelie. That would have meant disaster on a 1000. ☮
Would that go for any first time rider and 1000cc? I'm about to get my first bike but I'm 6'4 230 lbs and most people say I'll need more power to get around. I'm the guy you're talking about though, just wanting to cruise with friends on the weekend here in Florida and take it 10 minutes down the road to work Monday through Friday when it's not raining to save gas. Should i look at a dual sport?
Super bikes go 70-90 mph in 1st gear alone! 0-60 in 2.5 seconds! Be aware and respect the power at all times.
More like 100 lol
I would not recommend a new rider to a 1000cc super bike. The level of self control and experience required is no joke. Sure new bikes have riding modes but what about the older models most people would likely buy given their affordability? Yes you can drive it slow but that’s not the issue… resisting the power is the problem. Accidentally bumping the throttle could throw you off or skid the back out. Yes 100% attention and awareness are crucial at all times and a lot of people aren’t that capable. I love super bikes and have 2 myself. But I didn’t start on a 1000cc. 600cc is what I started on which still I don’t recommend to everyone. Driving skill and awareness is critical and if you struggle in a car then probably don’t start on a supersport. Great video putting the dangers into perspective. Main advice: if you’re unaware of surrounding traffic and road conditions you should not start on such a powerful machine. I’ve almost been bucked a few times from bumps myself but haven’t gone down yet knock on wood😂 I have 11 years riding experience on supersport class bikes and mainly ride my tuned concours14 that does 185mph+ at 670lbs… a heavy supersport!
😂 buy a 600 and put a 1000 sticker on it 😂 u going to have some kids looking goofy, but hey atleast they won’t be 💀
