Prayer. Is how I deal with colic. I start praying for a calm and peaceful baby as soon as I find out that I am pregnant. Some kids are lactose intolerant so I also reduce the amount of cow milk I take. But prayer is key 🙏

I think Blessing had postpartum bues. Where you cry once in a while because of overwhelm. Postpartum depression is worse. You feel like struggling the child or killing yourself. Now that’s depression. I was also today years old when I have learnt about postpartum rage 🙆‍♀️.

Hmmmm... I never had a rage.....but I felt every inch of the cries it .....But all I would do was to resort to pray over my baby, somehow that would calm me. Pray surely works. And then I would advise the husbands out there to also understand there wives, and really be there from them. Lastly, as women do research about what comes with Postpartum, their partners to should get involved such that they can also see how to help in such a state.

My pro tip is- never send emails to just one person, especially those with work you’ve invested so much time and effort in. With reports, presentations, concepts, etc, send to your supervisor and their supervisor and another person (if you are in a department or working on a similar project, copy the other team) “for their comments.” That way, people see what you are doing and what you are capable of. But also it helps to improve your work… in the workplace, everyone is looking out for themselves. It’s a jungle. Never let anyone steal your work.

I’ve been here before and I can tell you that no mature conversation with that supervisor will get them to credit you but there are some clever ways to get you seen. For starters, don’t sit back and hope they’ll hand you credit or that the superiors will see you… you have to push ko. Petty me would start cc the superior in those emails. But also, now that you’ve established the boss is approachable, have a conversation with them about if they could mentor and guide you to get better at your work and then highlight the work you’ve done so they can see your contribution. During work presentations or other opportunities you may find to engage the boss, talk about the work you’ve done “For example, when I worked on abc or when I handled xyz”…. It’s a subtle way to highlight your contribution. Any right thinking boss would see and connect the dots and if supervisor hasn’t been inviting you to meetings, the boss himself will and start to ask for your contribution directly. You have to be a little ambitious for your work to be seen and valued.

The supervisor should acknowledge to the lady that you are making me look good and hopefully work well and always put in a word for her person but munange humans are selfish and are always looking out for themselves so look out for you too
