Everyone's making super cool nodes with the new Copycat node and I wanted in on the action. So Foundry, if you're listening, this is my contribution. I expect this Waldo Finder that only works like 30% of the time to be on the front page of the Cattery tomorrow morning. Thank you. Bare with me for over an hour while I try to unravel the stunning swarm effect created by the evil genius Aaron Hymes. Aaron, if you're there. Please dear God, throw me a bone and tell me how you did it. Anyways, even if this is nothing like how Aaron Hymes created the effect, it gets the job done and I c...

Apparently one of my favorite professors from college still shows this to her classes, so I will never private this video :)
Mama didn't raise no sith
why no keyer node? :D It's blue contrasty as fuck :D
@@gadass for this exact footage that would’ve maybe worked but I think I was just lucky there was no blue in the room lol :)
9:25 literally me
On Fu%kin point ☝️👉 bro 🙏😎👍
use magic mask in fusion istead and get better results then this faster
10 more tutorials and ill sign up for the dell
@@DominicGrzecka I’ll do it 😔
you can do this in 34 second in comfy bro
all you have ti di is prompt" the lightsaber" and it masks it out and gives you out puts
I prefer using my own data for training/machine learning stuff
Pumping these videos out
I’ll stop when you sign up for the Dell webinar :)
@@curtskelton I’ll sign up if you please keep em coming!
@ okay bet :))
There's another easier rotoscope method, Davinci Resolve 19, also free.
I'm buying it because the cop car had the stunt piston thing underneath after it flipped.
I think this guy loves crown victoria
Great energy.... I have to say though your claims are a little overstated. It's not really a random car generator.
Thanks!
cool video, but how install and use this upscaler on nuke?
36:29 For Blender 4.2 "import images as planes" was moved from the Import menu to the Add menu of the 3D Viewport. You can find it here: 3D Viewport ‣ Add (Shift A) ‣ Image ‣ Mesh Plane
Curt I watch every tutorial you make multiple times and pretend I’m smart enough to follow along!
Shouldn't you convert your srgb input footage here to pure linear when doing this? Then convert back to sRGB in the end? That would also simplify the exposure expression, as doing exposure in pure linear is photographically correct.
@@TreyMotes that’s a good idea, I like that. Thank you! :)
Doing everything in ACES) is probably the best method, most pro render engines like arnold, redshift etc use acescg by default anyways. Always do compositing and cgi in aces!
@ignitoracing acescg is just linear with a different color gamut. You don't need to change color gamut to do this.
@@TreyMotes yeah youre right but i've just used to work in aces with everything. Especially cgi, in commercial environment for 9 yeara now. Bigger gamut isnt worse, might not be necessary youre right but aces is still just great. 90% of the tv shows and movies the vfx studio i work in are in aces, probably outside film/tv environment its matter of what youre used to
@@ignitoracing You're not going to get any extra data from converting sRGB/rec709 gamut into the larger ACES container. Doing that would be pointless for this. He isn't manipulating color in a creative way here anyway... just the luminance.
Man bro I hope you still keep posting after your Dell stream thing..... your shit is Fu!cKKKKKinnnnnn Cool thanks for dropping value
idk anything about blender, i came here from the last video but homie is showing us how to make blender car NFT's :) <3 i love your energy homie!
wizardry but im willing to learn from you. if a silly goose like you can do it and can teach it to a silly goose like myself... i am learning <3
Dude is high on vfx... By the end of the video he's already seeing polygons.
Nice work. Can you do a full tutorial on this? I'd like to do the same with other cars. Thank you!
Great energy and solution mate!
Holy **** you could rotoscope while your f**kin' I gotta tell my girlfriend!!
Can I rig the phone to my real camera and use the data in a VFX program on the camera footage?
I legit think you can, I was just talking about this same idea with a coworker lol. If you do, let me know how it goes
How did you achieve this 90s looking footage you showed at the start? Does anyone have any tutorial an how to do that in post?
thanks for this brilliant tutorial. is there any chance you will make the shader or blendfile available as download?
I plan on it one day, making asset packs, but right now they’re not good enough lol
ahahahhah! I loved the burp at the end!
This looks really cool and relatively easy. I need to get into this.
I love the Crown Vic so much, for me it's like the benchy of cars. All cars evolve from the Crown Vic.
ive never seen somebody so hyped up for a crown vic lol
Genius ❤
Started using blender about 6 weeks ago, so glad I found your channel. Do you know if there is a way to convert the Kn5 on Mac? Or should I just parallels?
I really don’t know I’m sorry :(
Wow! You are on a roll dude, Keep at it, I love your style of teaching delivery down to earth!
I'm so glad you made this. I was having trouble randomizing a bunch of Mercury Grand Marquis. Now I have the knowledge. "Bing Bong"
Is there a similar program like Omniscient, for Android?
Maybe CameraTrackAR. That might be on the android app store but idk
Switch out the Crown Victoria for a Subaru Outback 2007 and you've got Australia covered.
This could have been condensed way down for the people who already know Nuke.
And if my mother had wheels, she’d have been a bike
Also, you don't need nukeX, you can paste the node into a text field and edit it, changing the parameters and paste that back into the nodegraph.
should also randomize license plates for extra credit points. Looks good tho
Watching it on .75x is perfect for me
This guy LOVES Ford crown Victoria lol..... neat video man also just a silly fun tip... you can do the same random selection using the object info node to select between different number plate texture from an image sequence texture... so they're not all breaking the law
@@BrownHuman YOU GENIUS!!!
Uuuuh....nice.....
For a moment i’ve read “Random Cat Generator” and it got me really worked up
Yeah bro you owned a sub ☄️
I don't like how many times you said the file wasn't a virus🤣😂
This tutorial has all the FREEDOM ! Hell yeah brother 👍🏽😅 Thanks for sharing
😢 Interesting. But you speak too much
Can it converter work for CSP type car models ?
biggest tip that i'd say re: "optimizing nuke" - don't use .mov or .mp4 or annnnyything that's a video for reading or writing the output of your comp - nuke reads scanlines, and does way better with still images. plus for rendering, if it crashes on a frame, then you can just rerender that frame (and then convert that image sequence to a mov/mp4/whatever in whatever program of your choice). exr is what get used in the industry (PIZ is pretty good, DWAB compression 90 is aight, there's a tonnn of stuff on exr compression online, but YMMV from whatever other people say so def do your own tests with your own hardware) and IME it's better than even pngs for file size (which sorta makes sense that it's very good at that, png was designed for web stuff, exr was designed for specifically doing vfx) other than that, bounding boxes, and any node that has its channels set to 'all' especially when you get into CG renders, is the other "big things" to optimize a script :D
what if you used your rotoscoped alpha from nuke as a mask on the output from depthanything and export it as gray scale. am a nood so this might be waaay of and if it is i would love it if any of you guys could correct me. wanna see where i went of the rails. awesome vid
You are 1,000 percent on the money lol. That will work, you did great :) My gripe though is that every depth generator I've used, struggles with feet and legs. It bends the legs backwards and the feet fade into the ground too suddenly. So I'm kinda waiting until somebody else fixes this problem or depth anything v3 releases.
@@curtskelton thanks for the replay, means alot. lets hope v3 solves this. But since you seem to like experimenter like my self, am shit compared to you but what if you photo scanned your self into a 3d model with the same outfit and took the original video and extracted the walk animation with the new video to animation ai models, cleaned the animation with cascaduer and matched it to be almost perfect to the original video and super imposed it to the original video in blender, maybe even parent them. or just use the rigged 3d models depth output from blender from waist down and the original from waist up. this might fix the shadows and maybe the lighting, not sure about the light reflection tho. this might be the equivalent of using an axe to cut a piece of grass but if it worked the applications might be endless.
