Anybody rember where we bought these from? Bch didn’t have then nor battery hookup Maybe the person selling these will know how to fix them or have pics of inside ?.? When I bring voltage up to about 14v on my power supply it will show .005 watts and then the relay will click on to charge after. Little while But can’t read any voltage without power on So not very useful Anybody have good pic without the case on Showing the “internal “ battery Thx

How do the batteries communicate with inverter? How inverter know state of charge?

I have a MPP solar 5kw hybrid inverter that has the generator input option at the bottom of the inverter. I have set the generator start-up to automatically start and that works. Problem I have is that I don't have any real instructions from MPP to tell me how this is supposed to be set up. Can anyone help?

I wonder why do engineers see some benefits turning a 0.5W display off in a free energy system? That's always annoys when an inverter display turs off while I stand and consume digits it displays, trying to find some genius thoughts.

I was use to seeing the breaker box to the right of the inverter (seems to fit well there too) so had to do a triple take to understand your way of wiring. I'll look around your channel on how you tied this into your load center. I've seen where the big Sol-Ark 15k can just be in line, but wonder if this smaller system can be as well. Learning. Thanks!

Hey Ben, got a question. On my xwpro, with grid in. It doesn't invert it just passes ac through. Just wondering what settings do you need to setup on the insighthome. I have ac1 priority right now. And the other two are Gen, ans ac disqualify. Neither of them allow the xwpro to invert.

Are interlocks required by law or for code reasons? Or is it just a fail safe? My Main is outside so it would be impossible to have a interlock

Question: What is your Opinion of the EG4 18KPV? We need to convert an Only Grid-Tied System to Both Grid and Off Grid. So either we replace the whole Inverter or Incorporate switches to switch the Solar Output Over to an Off Grid Inverter Charger that will output at least 12KW and accept 17KW of Solar PV input.

One year later and the latest XW Pro firmware is v2.04 dated 03/2023. So no improvement in AC-coupled, on grid, TOU support.

I have an older style 5ah 40v pack that only shows 1 LED for charge. Put it on the charger and it immediately shows it as full charge, no red error LEDs. wonder if it has a similar problem. Any thoughts?

thank you. I'm learning a LOT about dc breakres. I originally had these in-line breakers they use in 12v stereo installations. I found that these thermal breakers heat up and trip over time. I had one 40A breaker which had 20A to 21A continuous for solar. It heated up, melted and then stayed closed and would not trip open. Youch. I came to understand that those breakers were worthless because of the poor design. That was 6 years ago when those were the only DC breakers you could find. Now these new type of DC breakers that look like AC breakers, are the right ones for power applications. Cheap and easy to find on amazon. Thank you so much for making it easy to understand all this.

I currently having issues with my Schneider XW6848 Pro. Its only been installed less than a week, I've updated firmware on both the Insigth home and the Inverter and its gotten worse. Inverter is still so loud I can't take it. BRRRRRRR humming noise, it's worse at low loads. and Incredibly loud when charging at the full rate of charge amps. I've had to cut back to only 80amps charge current. Home insight dashboard does not work correctly. And the Suport from Schneider has not been good at all. Local dealer I purchased from has not offered to come out and look at it. He's told me that because the distributor that he had it dropped shipped to me has gone out of business that I now have to deal with Schneider direct. I had been so happy with my Xantrex products over the last 20yrs that I figured Schneider taking over Xantrex made it a no brainer. What a mistake! At this point I wish I had gone with another system.

Solaredge, so difficult to get help when you have warranty problems. Never again. Tesla inverters are so popular now.

Ben, I have a very similar (same?) Solaredge DC coupled system. Have you ever updated the software on the Solaredge? Just curious-I haven’t tried that.
