    I guess that the only proper use of this type of telescope is planet observations, or details of the moon (craters, faults etc). To much "fiddeling" in pitch darkness with a Child around is not ideal until you understand the most simpel princip about astro-observations. For starter you have to acclimate your unit. Place it on the observation point at last 1 hour before use, with some kind of protectioncover to get rid of the dew and moist that occurs whist acclimating. I remember the first time i first found Saturn by pure coincidense. I would adjust the "aiming scope" aften a random star i could see in the horisont. At first i was puzzled that i couldnt fokus. It was all blurry, and since i had a New occularpiece i thought there was some wrong with that. I checkked everything once again. Same result. It was as if the blurry spot looked like a button of some sort, with two holes in it. And then it clicked in my head over what i saw. The "button" was actually a planet, and the two holes was the dividing between the planet and its rings. It was Saturn and I still get goosebums when I recall that experience almost 40 years ago.

      @@FunsizedAdventures I ended up getting the bike for my grandson, and no the rims are not tubeless compatible but not worth getting a tubeless wheelset upgrade anything over $275 . Rims are aluminum and 1.25in external width, decent width. The bike is not a lightweight, it's 30.6 lbs. That's the same weight as my large Polygon Vander T7 full suspension upgraded to Gx and a Pike fork. The fork and hubs are steal that adds most of the weight to the bike so I plan on getting a set of shimano hubs 135mm rear spacing for $80 see below link for example. Main reason for hub swap is to get a better top gear. 28 front 14 back is not very high top gearing, this will allow for a shimano cassette 11-32 better top speed and less weight. I believe the spokes will be able to be reused with the new hubs so that will keep the price down and I build wheels so no extra money there. Another place you can reduce weight for cheap is the saddle and seatpost. That kid's saddle is wider than my large adult mtb saddle. I've seen quality kid saddles for around $25 and with a lightweight seatpost together you can drop 140 grams. I'm not sure what the weight difference between hubs will be but I would think about 1/2 a lb. TPU tubes should drop about another 200grams. After all that the bike will be getting close to lightweight. As an example I know a guy that has a steal frame hardtail MTB 29er that is 25lbs. lwww.amazon.com/Shimano-11-Speed-6-Bolt-compatible-cassettes/dp/B006Z0RVQU

My 4 and a half year old rides on it all the time with no issues and like I show in the video I’ve tested it with my 11 year old. 🤣 I believe you’ll run into issues with their size before their weight. Also, having used it for a year here’s an update. The rubber straps that go over the feet have broken because my son loves to really wedge his feet in there. It still works great with just the foot pegs though. Also, the handlebars still work well but I often don’t use them and just have him hold my bars. It just makes the install quicker as I usually take it off when I’m riding alone.

    Hi. Congratulations for the video and is really nice but with all do respect, have you tried the 2X Barlow and also some eyepeaces like 8mm, 6mm, etc? I noticed exactly now that your telescope is not exactly like mine, mine is 127AZ a little larger but still... I think you can see nebulas and stuff, not like Hubble etc but still... I seen only moon thill now, Is not well calibrated because near me I seen only 100-150 meters so it should be at least double distance for a good calibration... But still, after seying amazing details of moon, with 25mm +25mm & 2x barlow so like 12.5 mm.... I will try tonight even witouth calibration to see more... P.S. IN my telescope case, a little larger stronger, I think already under 10 mm is too strong for moon, but I l test larger and also I l try some planets at least. Cheers from Romania.

    Good stuff! Do you have any thoughts on how a strap / slackline zipline would affect these calculations? Increase the range of safe slope, for example?

    • @FunsizedAdventures
      @FunsizedAdventures 2 месяца назад

      Great question! Slackline ziplines always have way more stretch to them than wire ziplines. That stretch is going to make it so once the rider’s weight is on it, it will exaggerate the slope more at the beginning but will also exaggerate the uphill slope at the end so you’ll pick up speed faster but then also lose it faster at the end. I have one set up now and I have it at the same amount of slope as my wire zipline and it works well. That stretch does make heavy riders, like me, bottom out in the middle. I hope that helps!

      From the part that sits on your top tube to the bolt that goes below your down tube is only 7.5 inches. I have a feeling that a road bike frame would be bigger than that but you could always measure your frame to check. I hope that helps!

    That’s a cool tool/gadget! This video is doing well. Not saying it’s the shirt.

    Not knowing anything about archery, that’s really cool about the trigger. Great review! I’m just now noticing the Safety Dad t shirt in your shop! That WILL be in my future.
