My parents, both doctors (unaware of any danger of that drug in the mid 1990th) gave Lariam to me at the age of 14 and 16. In the main vulnerable state a brain has after infancy, it wreak havoc in my mind/brain/psyche for many many years. Glad to have survived. Many haven't.

As an ex army veteran watching this breaks my heart. I’m going through a similar situation with cms. But this isn’t about me how absolutely awful this poor lad felt this was his only way out. But that said they do back you into a corner and will bleed you dry and leave you with literally nothing to live on or support your other family/children the more you earn the more they take.

ive said that since the 90's when i found out the dark history of some drugs & the way they are distributed... and that was long before the past few years 'events' - and even that didnt seem to cause the attitude change thats needed..

Thanks for posting. i spent a few years in the late 90's / early 2000's looking for info on this, there was limited things around but its difficult to find those same pages or any new info recently. I gave up after a few years but then found out that both the american & uk armies had acknowledged things were not right. 2 years after i took it, the labels were changed to display warnings - if you are not in the armies then there is little or no help for those affected as far as i found.. I also heard it/compounds from it mentioned before lockdowns.. i was shocked to think they still use the compounds & then to push it worldwide knowing full well whats its capable of... altho footage of what i saw is no longer on the net.. For 30 years everything is brushed under the rug with this drug.

I feel your pain bro. Typical mefloquine issues. 12 years since. And still have lasting effects. It has gradually improved over the years though. But does come back to haunt. Headaches and hearing issues now. As well as heart palpations. Good luck with the law suit. Power to all the vets.
