Technically trebuchets were still used until the 15th century. Gunpowder was still considered to be quite pricey until later on. So trebuchets were more cost effective.

It's alright, but definitely still held back by the non-expressive faces and the fact it's using Reforged's mis-matched art style. Still quite impressive for one guy though.

I perfer the original work, it had more character, even if it was more cartoony; but then the Cartoon artstyle can look far less dated because its not a hyper realistic look alike.

Warcraft deserves so much more than this. The fact that one guy can do better than the whole blizzard team makes me feel bad for having chosen Warcraft as my one and only fantasy world. Nor Harry Potter, nor Lord of the Rings, none fantasy world has amazed me the way warcraft did, and witnessing such a scarcity in resources for such a potential world simply depresses me.

Warcraft III Re-Reforged is what Warcraft III Reforged should have been. This is mind blowing from what a single guy could do, what the entire Blizzard Entertainment company failed to do. Shame on you, Blizzard!

Looks like a lot of work for a rather disappointing result compared to some other war machines by Romans or Greeks.

Just a perfect example of how incompetent Blizzard is by now...

I mean, at this point everybody knows that Warcraft 3: Reforged was a Blizzard spit to their fans, a complete fiasco. But one guy single handedly improving things so much, it's pretty much a big flex for people to realize that they not only made Reforged for pure $wallet collection, but also (with punctual exceptions) they didn't really care to improve it or fix it afterwards since the fans are just capable of doing a faster and better job... being nearly unpaid.

Its kind of silly to claim that an advantage to the arquebus was how cheap its ammunition was. This leaves out the fact that it was difficult and dangerous to produce the most crucial part of the ammunition- the damn powder! You can have cheap lead balls sure, but what are you going to do with them, chuck them at the enemy? With arrows its relatively simple to produce the ammunition, the only complex bit was the arrowhead that required iron.

something to note is that some historians now believe that gunpowder may have been indipendently discovered in europe based on 13th century manuscripts that seemingly depict it. this is certainly under debate and is less likely but it is still a valid theory given that we have no clear evidence of how it actually reached europe another issue is that gunpowder changed rapidly in europe after being first introduced to the battlefield, it used to need to be tamped down harshly for it to produce a small explosion and fuses were just untamped gunpowder, that quickly changed to gunpowder that didn't need to be tamped (either sulphur or fosfor was added to it) from then on the use of fuses started.

One passionate fan vs. greedy multi-billion company with zero love for their game. W3 Reforged is what happens if you ONLY do your work for MONEY and nothing else. This happens when you don't care about your fandom, your customers. I spit on face of those Activision executives who let this happen.

This video made me even more angry towards Blizzard. How can a multi-billion dollar company not do what a fan made with their OWN editor for a couple of weeks or months??? Hope they start loosing money reaaaaally fast these next few years!!! Anyway, superb work, man!

I hate what blizzard has become

i stop play wr3 because i see no change , i was think awsome new maps , new factions or maybe atleast new units or more of them , no bugs awsome let buy that game. 2 hours of the game my mind just was tier of old version so basic i don't see change . But then when i see your video i must say gj finally one guy ho know how to creat fcking game.

It's amazing how much better this game is when the story is given respect and love. Look at these differences? Hearthglen was one of my favorite missions in WC3 because it was a turning point in the story where you see the cracks forming. In the re-reforged, there is so much more detail! They even have the villagers, who have eaten the plagued grain, appear kinda sick in the background while the footman addresses Arthas + co. That level of storytelling is so good it's infuriating. Blizzard didn't just drop the ball, they kicked it and laughed while people cried. Edit for context: I am so angry about the damage they have done to this that I can't even get all of my thoughts out or spell.

The actual cutscenes are better. The added ones in the middle of game play would really get on my nerves. A lot of them are supposed to just be dialog while you play, not a slow cutscene interrupting the gameplay
