    Hi, i absolutely love this tutorial but i seem to be doing something wrong? By the end of row 4 i was down to 30 stitches instead of 34. No one else seems to have this problem so its likely just me misunderstanding something but i cant seem to figure it out 😭

    • @jadecordial
      @jadecordial 5 дней назад

      You are probably accidentally skipping stitches! Which would make you start to decrease the amount of stitches per row. Sometimes the way that I do the back rows can make the teardrop really tiny on the next row and you can easily jump over a stitch if you aren't careful. I would just make sure for each row you count the total amount of stitches when you are done and also make sure once you get to the last color you are counting that amount and not just crocheting to the end. At that point you might be doing 12 green to the end of the row when it's supposed to be 13. But since it was the last color change you didn't count to make sure. I've definitely done that! I hope this makes sense/helps.

    Did this hike a couple years ago. Took me about 12 hours. The last 3 miles are mental. One step after another and your mind becomes less interested in the views. Be prepared it is very dry and there is not much shade to be found on most of the trail. Trekking poles are invaluable, take plenty of water and food, also recommend good hiking boots and a change of socks. Thanks for that walk down memory lane. Congratulations on conquering the Rim to River hike!

    • @jadecordial

      For this bag, I hand sewed because of the stem being there. If I would've waited to crochet the stem down flat onto the bag, then I would have machine sewn. But I usually ust fold the hem inside and pop it under the machine and hope for the best!

    What was your max weekly mileage and longest run and average pace per runs. How many feet elevation was this race. Very great job!!! Doing my first in a couple of weeks Lord willing.

    • @jadecordial
      @jadecordial 25 дней назад

      My max weekly mileage was 34 although that was such an outlier unfortunately. I really wanted more 30 mile weeks but I had mostly avg 25 mile weeks. Pace is usually like 10:30-11:30 on roads and about a minute or 2 slower on trail. I did a lot of road running because I don't have extreme access to trails but I tried to do my weekend long run on the trails which means i was out there for 2.5- 3 hours on quite a few of them. The race had 4,500 ft of gain! My longest run was only 18 miles but it took 5 hours and mimicked the average elevation gain of my 50k. I felt like I moved and fueled well during that and didn't have any major feet/ body issues (except major soreness lol). I felt really confident I could do that 50k after that run even though it was 12 miles longer. The day of the 50k I was so excited to finish and that really carried me through. All the hard work in training was done. Good luck! I hope this helps. I remember looking everywhere I could for people that had trained as "little" as i did, trying to use that information to make me feel like my training was valid and enough. But as long as you actually have the dedication and the want to have a very long fun day in the woods, you'll be just fine!

      I really like size 4 yarn, also known as medium weight. It could also be called aran, afghan, or worsted yarn. I pretty much use that type of yarn for all of my projects unless i need something a lot thinner or a lot thicker. My favorite brand is big twists size 4 yarn sold at joanns. At walmart I believe they sell red heart super saver brand. If you have a hobby lobby or a michaels, they have their own brand of size 4 yarn!
