2013 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3L Replace Oil Pressure Sensor and Filter
This 2013 Chevy silverado has erratic oil pressure, sometimes reading 0 and sometimes reading 80. I replaced it with a Duralast PS690 from autozone. It's a fairly easy job, just hard to get to and really hard to film.
Used a small Pic set from harbor freight
1/2" drive 27mm deep socket
1/2" to 3/8" adapter
3/8" swivel
9" 3/8" extension
ratchet and torque wrench

Sunroom Addition Series (Part 2, Final Design, Plumbing, Concrete, Framing for Roof)

This is part 2 to the sunroom series and I pick up where I left off from the last video. I created a design on the 5D app. I rented a trencher and laid the pex and gas line for the grill island. Great video.. I'm dealing with this on my daughter's 2011 Altima 2.5.. recently started that similar issue but her car won't go over 80 and is sluggish acceleration. Still drives fine for around town driving but highway merging its slow. I recently changed the fluid out but I didn't change any filters....yet. just curious if what you did corrected the limp mode issue. Thank you. Doesn't seem like it has to get hot it just seems to do it all the time.. transmission is not shuttering or anything and drives rather well ..seems like catalytic converter is clogged or possible bad sensor. But the engine can be revved all the way to redline when vehicle is just at idle. So leads me to believe that the cats are not clogged.. I'm assuming it is a safe mode issue.

    • @treyhaberman
      @treyhaberman Месяц назад

      @ymmij1973 well my issue was resolved and the car is still doing good, but I think we may have two different issues. Do you have any codes?

    • @ymmij1973
      @ymmij1973 Месяц назад

      @@treyhaberman nope. No codes. Was thinking a sensor or clogged exhaust manifold which is an issue on these from what I've read.

    • @treyhaberman
      @treyhaberman Месяц назад

      @ymmij1973 well I would start doing some testing. To test a Cat there are a few different ways. 1. Watch the vehicles intake vacuum with a vacuum tester. You should have a baseline vacuum when the car is idling and the it should drop "go to zero" when rpms are increased. If the vacuum continues to increase with rpms, that could indicate a clogged Cat. With the addition of foul smells, poor power and fuel economy. Plus if you drive it alot the upstream side of a clogged Cat usually will get glowing hot. If you think it's stuck in a permanent limp mode, since you have no power and no codes, try manually shifting through gears when on the highway. I noticed when my mom's car went into limp mode, engine rpms were reduced and the pcm kept me from manually downshifting to get rpms up.

    How did you know the valve was bad my man? I’ve got a 1999 suburban, rear ac just started blowing hot all of a audden. Front ac is still ice cold. I’m grasping at straws hoping it’s the expansion valve. I don’t want to do this job again. Pretty extensive work as ya know. Any help or any more tips would be awesome 🫡🤟🏻

    Looks great! I'm working on a 1997 Tahoe 4 door. Mainly needs paint as it's very crackly. So far, my learning new skills is just painting the barn doors. Learned that if you paint when it's really hot, you get orange peel. When it cools down a bit, I'm going to do the sanding/polishing/buffing etc. to remove the orange peel. I would say you should lubricate the hood hinges! I cringed when I heard that! So far, I've added the Cunningham Machine lower steering shaft, with immediate results. Added some LED tail lights and CHMSL to quickly update the back end. Need to do some suspension work and I've saved your oil pan/timing cover series as it does have oil leak(s) somewhere. Yours is so much cleaner underneath. Mine is crusty as can be. Replaced the rotted, crusty steel spare with a matching factory alloy. Had to get a new tire as the spare dated from 1998! On the list for the future is a new radio with wireless Android Auto, new speakers all the way around. upgraded headlights and front turn signals, and various other items as budget/time allow. How do you like the RedHead steering gear? The two things that have always bothered me about this truck are the overboosted/loose steering and soft brake pedal. I'm planning on doing the NBS master cylinder to help with the brakes.

    • @treyhaberman
      @treyhaberman 2 месяца назад

      @robertgraham7245 the red head wasn't worth the money. It had a leak that I had to fix shortly after installing it. The nbs upgrade with a powerstop kit all the way around was a big difference

      @everage86 I would just use a regular box. Couldn't tell that much of a difference with a "Quick turn". I would probably try borgeson. I really like the quality of their shafts

    Thank you.. i have a 95 3.0 liter and i need to do this because i almost have the pink milkshake(atf in collabt due to rad failure). Im replacing the rad , water pump and older parts. My question...can an air cooler be put on the 1995? ..is there enough room? The condenser is very close? Plus, if the clutch nut is now circular and heavily rusted, what's the best gripper to turn it?

    • @treyhaberman
      @treyhaberman 3 месяца назад

      I have put an auxiliary cooler on a suburban, but I don't think its really needed for a ranger unless heavy towing. I would use a mini pipe wrench to help hold the pulley and then use a hammer and give the wrench some hits

    • @ballershanelle
      @ballershanelle 3 месяца назад

      @@treyhabermantks .I assume 'i'll put a pipe wrench on the rounded off clutch bolt, also. An official clutch Wrench just slides around the rounded bolt

    • @treyhaberman
      @treyhaberman 3 месяца назад

      @ballershanelle I usually close the pipe wrench almost all the way and slip it behind the lip of the water pump pulley. Usually that and leaving the belt on gives enough friction to hammer the wrench on the fan
