Simple grey-water system using a bathtub
Просмотров 38 тыс.10 лет назад
This is a grey-water system some friends and I installed for an outdoor camping sink at Guwahi Ecovillage in Mentone Alabama. The point of a grey-water system is to capture and decompose water pollutants which may be harmful to the surrounding ecosystems. It is important to have a large particle catcher (or filter) before water enters the bathtub filter to prevent clogging.

What size bicycle wheel rims ?
" pulled over and collecting greens to eat with" ...I eat with a fork and knife.. so how do you "eat with greens" ?
You have any seeds ?
I love the video
Sure hope you start up again w video posts.. Educational content.. thanks & was so great to see a property I once lived on.. S of Gainesville Say hello to Craig please..he's a wealth of knowledge!

😎 cool Thanks for sharing Tina Thompson
I won't believe that,,,till i can make it🙄😳
Great video !
Thanks so much, will be selling on market, so needed to know drying time.. great info..
How long does it take to dry and how to do it?
You can use a dehydrator or put them in a paper bag on the dashboard for a few days. They'll dry quicker if you slice them up. It's best to peal them before drying them
I just went to a nursery called "green food forest" in howie hills .. It was amazing . There are so many amazing nurseries there
You may have your camera on auto focus. Those vines- I HATE them, now I can eat them 9well a tiny bit of them ) ! Thank you! Dandelions- leaves are clean no bumps or hair. One of my favorite things to eat, are the green balls on the Passion Flower vines (future flowers) theyre larger than most things growing, except cactus plums, & very tasty.
all parts of spider wart are edible but those parts taste best
I have grown tumeric for years in Florida. I always replanted the mother back into the ground- the mother is the middle piece that is the largest & where all of the tubes grew from. My harvests have been huge. The only thing is I am looking for the species that grows in the Middle East that is medium, bright orange that is insane. My family brought it over from there & that's the one I want to grow. Anyone know what I am referring too? What I am currently growing is a yellow color species.
What you need to go cycle touring: 1. Bucket. 2. Peanut butter. 3. Carpet. 4. Massive pan lid.
Great video 👍 Hope you are doing well.
Posting shorts before they were even shorts
😄
@@wanderingupward1324 Are you still living in Florida?
Thanks for the information. Interesting...
Good video, but the one thing I would recommend to everyone watching.....DO NOT gather your forage from road sides. The pollution from petro chemicals and other contaminants (oil, gas, exhaust, antifreeze, heavy metals, asbestos from brake pads etc) from vehicles, and who knows what else and the runoff from the road makes it not a good idea. Go off the roadway as far as possible when foraging. Also on the wild onion/chives, make absolutely sure that you are identifying them correctly as Death Camas and wild onion are very very similar and Death Camas is exactly what it's name implies...it will kill you. I don't think I've come across Death Camas where I live in Florida but it is common out in western states at times growing right beside wild onion. Happy, safe foraging everyone!
Dandelions are the simplest plant to identify
I just realised that you don’t have to spend tons of money on expensive bags, just be like this guy, cheap but works well, as long as you enjoy your ride, that’s all it matter.
Hi can you make bamboo tea out of any bamboo leaf variety?
is your frame made of steel? i wanted to know if my aluminum frame bike can handle those loads....
I am trying to learn about the different varieties but it is a bit confusing. Because bulbifera is the “variety” but there seems to be many different varieties within the bulbifera variety. Kinda unusual for plant identification. Do you know where to find some solid information on this variety?
Have had these on my property for years and never knew what they were. Thanks for the video!
WOW!!.. Thank you!!!...
Good food forest is growing so well 🌱

Smilax is not only edible, but it is a delicacy that tastes even better than asparagus. The local deer eat most of it around here before I can get to it, but when I do get lucky and find some big Smilax vine tops, I steam them with a little butter with salt and pepper and they are every bit as tasty as asparagus. I think it is possibly the best wild edible I have ever foraged in meal quantity. I heard it was also known as Greenbrier.
I ate it and made my teeth black wtf
I WANT HORSES ON MY LAWN! When was this built?
To me, identifying Dandelions is so easy (the used to pick them for my torture), but what you do is complicated :)
I have some of this which I will propagate this week! I rooted some "Longevity Spinach" in water and it did well! I am rooting some Longevity now with rooting hormore and I am looking forward to seeing the results to see the difference!
My yard went from problem to garden quick. I live near where this is lol
