I have this stove but the freestanding model. I noticed that the baffle is missing between the primary and secondary chambers. I was considering getting a cast iron plate to put up there, but I just read in the instructions that it was originally a fiber baffle. Do you have any recommendations for a replacement?

I guess it's time to get into exercises. Tried it before and even did it daily like it's no big deal. Than dropped it for some reason and now it's kinda hard to start and keep doing it every day. I like the way of explaining things on this channel. Still haven't got into Iaido or something close to it but I hope I will eventually. Ummm.....2 art forms: Kenjutsu AND iai or Batto jutsu. NEVER EVER make the error, that these things are the same or even EQUAL. They are NOT. And they are as alien to one another as kendo is to kenjutsu. That is why the swordsmen of the past studied more than one art. Typically, it was probably 3 styles on average.

As Chiburi is not part of Noto, I believe what you skipped was locking the sword into the Saya with the left thumb.
