Playing my first playthrough ever (for any ds game). And having more then enough trouble on medium. Also my first real horror game… altough i have bin gaming since the 90’s. I have played resident evil 5 and 6 but can we calll that horror?

I like how a lot of the comments are just: "Kendra and Hammond are totally safe. Never have to lift a finger." or "It took me a bit to realize Kendra was the one blocking Hammond's RIG signal." Well yeah... that's what a secret, plot-twisting, antagonist is. XD You're not supposed to know that Kendra was practically trying to get Hammond killed as subtly as possible. Government agents love doing that, after all. It's not as easy to pick up in the original game, but Kendra's actress in the remake kinda does a shitty job at feigning sympathy. Good at starting the conflict with Hammond, not so good with acting like she's not involved in any conspiracy. Also... those rooms, the computer core and captain's nest... they have vents too. All it takes is one clever Necromorph to locate that vent cover. They're anything BUT safe. XD They just got lucky... for a time.

12:46 While i do believe Inarius were sent to Hell by Heaven, i disagree it is because of his use of free will. It is not clearly mentioned of the virtues Inarius and Yaeris represent, by their actions, Yaeris is the Archangel of Charity while Inarius is the Archangel of Temperance. Yaeris kept his Virtue by actively helping/siding on Humanity along with Archangel Tyrael, Auriel, and Ithael. Inarius ended up breaking his Virtue by manipulation for his own angles. Inarius technically corrupted World Stone before Baal.

After playing the remake and not playing the original, is Kendra really the villain? Even when she revealed who she was, she hardly come across villainous at all and prioritised her mission to help save humanity as much as she possibly could.

My experience: If you shoot the pregnant necromorphs 2 legs with a plasmacutter they don't burst and are also dead. You only find ammo from the guns you are wearing so you never run out of ammo of you're favorite gun if you only wear 1 or 2 guns. On Playstation you can disable auto save to the cloud, i recommend you manually save to the cloud every chapter so you don't have tot start the entire game if you are dead.

Ik one of them was gonna betray me considering there was 5 peeps at the start and 2 get offed pretty early in the story....

Just started my run of impossible and on my playthrough before I did my one gun run and took notes for impossible. Specifically took notes of tentacle grabs and insta unalive sections. Brute locations as they can probably do huge damage and took notes of all master doors and chests I found throughout the game 😁. Biggest thing I can say is mentioned in this which is save at every save station you come across you don’t know what’s gonna happen or when you’re gonna get caught out and need to reload and try again 😁

A trick I found out with the flamethrower is burning enemies are way more likely to be stagged by melee when on fire. If not guaranteed for slashers and other common enemies. I'd clear entire rooms with 25 units of flamethrower just by tapping them every now and then, kiting, and smacking the shit out of them

I started a run after finishing the game the first time. Hard my first run. First two levels were a bit puckering for my b hole, but a overall a breeze. Barely used any ammo. Kinesis impales and other cheeses for lots of kills. Sold most ammo for upgrades. Game over when I got a fully upgraded ripper ASAP. Wasn't worried about any enemy encounters going forward except the 2nd leviathan really. Then I get fucking crushed by the spinning generator thing on the engineering level when you gotta run while you have no oxygen. Fuck that. Not trying impossible again for a while lol

Just got done doing hard mode and had no idea about the stripping system. Really wish i knew beforehand could have made my run less hectic.

Now that you mention it, I didn’t really think of the “peeling” system like that. That is kinda cool how they made the Necromorphs a bit tougher in the remake but if you pay attention to the visuals of them as you fight them, you really see how you LITERALLY break limbs off the Necromorphs. Good tip, I might start my Impossible run soon!

I highly recommend using the glitch with selling ammo for Plasma Cuter, which gives money that can be exchanged for Nodes. It still works, it wasn't removed by the update.

I just finished Impossible for the first time, and i did it plasma cutter only and got that trophy too.

And now we know it was about akarat.

I wanted my impossible run to be really, really unnecessarily hard. Because I've completed the impossible run for all dead space games in the past. So I did my dead space impossible Run with only the plasma cutter. I enjoyed it way WAY more than i thought i would best game ive 100% all year

impossible mode is BS, i beat the game on normal on my first play through and took my time to upgrade all the suits and weapons, it don't carryover to new game plus for impossible mode. you have to start fresh
