Hey Mike and Company from Ned over in Spain. I'm an old bastard so I've heard this song for about 50 years and it still knocks me out. It brings tears in my eyes as well as joy and astonishment that Jimi Hendrix existed and created something so precious. His thing was to play not only his guitar but the pedals the amps the feedback and his musicians as ONE instrument. BTW the guitar was a right hander but strung for a lefty. That would cause intonation problems because of neck radius but not for Jimi. He could also play completely " upside down " on right hand guitars too. Unique and sorely missed. Thanks for this and Happy New Year fellas.

This was live from the Palladium in NYC in I think ‘78. Frank and his band were straight as it gets. He said he could count the number of hits he took on one hand for his entire life. He was arrested, I believe when he was 18 for being drunk and did 30 days and has been clean. He chain smoked and drank coffee non stop. He was truly one of a kind, made many young musicians careers by taking them under his wing. The recorded version ( off his Bongo Fury album ) is also live but much better version.
