The love of God is a powerful medicine.
I recall listening to Constantine Zalalas homilies audio cassettes when I first came back to the faith, about 20+ years ago in Toronto where I would periodically attend both the Apostles Paul bookstore and the St Athanasius missions there. Constantine even did live homily/lecture there at Apostle Paul's. I was just coming back to Orthodoxy after a being decade and a half with other heterodox denominations (it's a long story, an arduous journey to say the least) , at any rate I had found his homilies to be of much spiritual comfort and insight during these times.
Amen! He is a wealth of Orthodox and Patristic information and a very good brother. May God bless him and also you dear brother!

I wish I could ask him how he felt about violence of action in a situation where the enemy is unclear. If I am fighting for my family or my brothers, should I still give room to discern whether I could disable the enemy or show force in an unrelenting way as a sort of assurance of victory. I do not hate or fear the enemy, I only fear that they might harm my loved ones or make me unable to protect them. Please give your thoughts.
I believe what you said here is still murky and unclear, so it is hard to help in this case. This is the kind of thing you need a good spiritual father for to confide in and seek direction. We do what we can to protect our loved ones of course. I wish I could offer more, but I am unclear about the situation. May the Lord enlighten you dear one!

I'm baffled to see people getting baptized and my father said come back in a year if you still interested and he told me we don't play with God .Me coming from conspiracies and protestant views also being a Croatian and wanting to be baptized into serbian orthodox church with 0 Serbs in my family no Godfather either cause family was atheist still is.
