Started the video, got the pdf, read until chapter 14, came back, super interesting book, I read psycho cybernetics a while back but this is a much more in-depth explanation of visualization. I'm gonna practice visualizing and whenever I dream of the future, I'm gonna always end that dream by Being in the reality of the dream instead of day-dreaming. Appreciate this bro, keep it up, I'm on a similar grind!

I aim for 20 on a workday, 50 on days off. But it depends on the book. I'm reading a book now where 50 is easy. I've read other books where 10 a day was what I could do.

30 pages is pretty decent and you're right about taking it on too fast because your mind will DEFINITELY resist you on it. I can easily read for hours and hours a day, but I feel the cost of doing that sometimes where my brain gets overloaded.

52 weeks in a year so if you're reading 1 book a week it's 52×1=52 books in a year. Basic math

These are three great choices tbh. I think Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics is the greatest "Self Help" book ever written, I'll always advocate for it whenever people talk about reading self help

C.S. Lewis has unexpectedly been the most influential author to me. There's an authenticity and compassion to his theology/philosophy that honestly bridges out from both genres, and merges more into super practical self-development type books. (I wont say they're self-help books, that's beneath him lol).

You should check out The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley, it's a really interesting book in which Huxley recalls his experiences on psychedelics and how they connect to things like aesthetics and religion. I don't entirely agree with it, but it's an undeniably interesting book.

I've been watching booktube content for a few years now and man your channel is easily the most interesting booktube channel. Everything you read are books I have saved to read some day, and you read a lot of challenging and potentially life changing books compared to most other channels which focus on single genres like Fantasy or Classics or something. I hope you don't stop making these, brother.

I don't make comments like these often, but I felt compelled to leave a message. I was you, constantly trying to find the answers, deeper knowledge, I ventured through all the philosophers and metaphysicians. From neo-Platonism to Goethe's idea of the leaf, from the Apollonian and Dionysian, to the Jungian thinkers, and into post and hyper modernist thinkers. None of it was useful, its all nonsense. You open your mind to let so many ideas in your thoughts become unsharpened and the mind is overburdened. Like the promethean myth, where the fire was gifted to humanity as knowledge, it was as parallel to the Biblical version of Adam and Eve eating from the forbidden fruit, makes life more difficult not easier. My advice is to just live life, avoid causing suffering as consciously as possible and alleviate the sufferings of others as consciously as possible. Whether God exists, that's for you to find out.

In India Osho did not have the best reputation so most of his work resurfaced recently since Indian youth is moving back towards its roots (or apparently trying to) Osho did speak a lot of stuff in Hindi ( unfortunately for westerners ) that really impressed me as all I knew about him was through Netflix documentary. He had a really impressive perspective.
